His saying, the Almighty: "And He will increase them from His bounty."

[6321] And by the same chain, from al-A’mash regarding His saying: "And He will increase them from His bounty," he said: "The intercession for those who were destined for the Fire from among those to whom they had shown kindness in the world."

His saying, the Almighty: "And as for those who disdained and were arrogant..." the verse.

[6322] My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu’awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying: "And they will not find for themselves besides Allah any protector or helper. Except if he repents before his death, then Allah will accept his repentance."

His saying, the Almighty: "O mankind, there has come to you a proof from your Lord."

[6323] Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa’ narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "A proof from your Lord," he said: "An argument (hujjah)." Similar to this was narrated from al-Suddi.

[6324] ‘Amr ibn Thawr al-Qaysari informed us in what he wrote to me, al-Firyani narrated to us, he said: Sufyan said regarding His saying: "There has come to you a proof from your Lord," he said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)."

[6325] Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-‘Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray’ narrated to us, from Sa’id, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "O mankind, there has come to you a proof from your Lord," [meaning] a clear evidence from your Lord.

His saying, the Almighty: "And We have sent down to you a clear light."

[6326] And by the same chain, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And We have sent down to you a clear light," and it is this Qur’an.

His saying, the Almighty: "So as for those who believed in Allah and held fast to Him..."

[6327] al-Hasan ibn ‘Arafah narrated to us, Yahya ibn al-Yaman narrated to us, from Hamzah al-Zayyat, from Sa’d al-Ta’i, from the nephew of al-Harith al-A’war, from al-Harith, he said: I entered upon ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, and he said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: 'The Straight Path is the Book of Allah.'"

His saying, the Almighty: "They ask you for a ruling. Say, Allah gives you a ruling regarding the kalalah (those who leave no direct descendants or ascendants)."

[6328] Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Yazid al-Muqri’ narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Ibn al-Munkadir, he said: I heard Jabir ibn ‘Abd Allah saying: "I fell ill, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to visit me, along with Abu Bakr, and they were walking. They arrived while I had fainted, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ablution, then poured his ablution water over me, and I regained consciousness. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, how should I bequeath my wealth? How should I act regarding my wealth?' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not answer me until the verse of inheritance was revealed."
