[The Second Aspect]
[6392] Ahmad ibn Mihran narrated to us, Dawud ibn Rashid narrated to us, from Sufyan ibn Husayn, from Mujahid regarding: "And if you judge, judge between them with justice," he said: Stoning.
[6393] Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa al-Kufi narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik regarding His saying: "Indeed, Allah loves the just [al-muqsitīn]"—meaning: those who are equitable in speech and action.
His saying, the Almighty: "But how is it that they make you a judge, while they have the Torah, in which is the judgment of Allah?"
[6394] My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding: "But how is it that they make you a judge, while they have the Torah, in which is the judgment of Allah?"—meaning: that Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, informed him [the Prophet] of His judgment in the Torah.
[6395] I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl: Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf narrated to us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding His saying: "But how is it that they make you a judge, while they have the Torah, in which is the judgment of Allah?" He says: In it is [the commandment of] stoning for the adulterer and adulteress, and [the obligation of] belief in Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and affirming him.
His saying, the Almighty: "Then they turn away"
[6396] And through the same chain, from Muqatil, regarding His saying: "Then they turn away after that"—meaning: they turn away from the truth.
His saying, the Almighty: "after that"
[6397] And through the same chain, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding His saying: "Then they turn away after that"—meaning: after the clarification.
His saying, the Almighty: "And those are not believers"
[6398] And through the same chain, from Muqatil, regarding His saying: "And those are not believers"—meaning: the Jews.

٦٣٩٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ وَإِنْ حَكَمْتَ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِالْقِسْطِ قَالَ: الرَّجْمُ.
٦٣٩٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى الْكُوفِيُّ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ عَنْ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ قَوْلُهُ: إن اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ يَعْنِي: الْمُعْدِلِينَ فِي الْقَوْلِ وَالْفِعْلِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِنْدَهُمُ التَّوْرَاةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ اللَّهِ
٦٣٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِنْدَهُمُ التَّوْرَاةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي:
أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ اللَّهُ عز وجل بِحُكْمِهِ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ.
٦٣٩٥ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ «١» بْنِ الْفَضْلِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ، ثنا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ. قَوْلَهُ: وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِنْدَهُمُ التَّوْرَاةُ فِيهَا حُكْمُ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ: فِيهَا الرَّجْمُ لِلْمُحْصَنِ وَالْمُحْصَنَةِ، وَالإِيمَانُ بِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالتَّصْدِيقُ لَهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ
٦٣٩٦ - وَبِهِ عَنْ مُقَاتِلٍ قَوْلَهُ: ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ يَعْنِي: يَتَوَلَّوْنَ عَنِ الْحَقِّ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ
٦٣٩٧ - وَبِهِ عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَوْلَهُ: ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ يَعْنِي: بَعْدَ الْبَيَانِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَمَا أُولَئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ
٦٣٩٨ - وَبِهِ عَنْ مُقَاتِلٍ قَوْلَهُ: وَمَا أُولَئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَعْنِي: اليهود.
