[His saying, the Almighty: "And lost from them"]

8570 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab ibn al-Harith told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And what they used to invent has lost from them," he said: What they used to lie about in the world.

And the second interpretation:

8571 - Muhammad ibn Yahya told us, al-'Abbas al-Narsi informed us, Yazid told us, Sa'id told us, from Qatadah regarding "what they used to invent," meaning: what they used to associate (with Allah as partners).

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth"

8572 - Abu Yunus Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yazid ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid al-Jumahi told us in Makkah, Ibrahim ibn Hamzah told us, from 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Muhammad, from Sa'd ibn Ishaq ibn Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah that he said: This verse was revealed, "Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days." A great caravan met them, and they were seen as being from the Arabs. He said to them: Who are you? They said: From the Jinn; we have come out of Medina, this verse brought us out.

8573 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa told us, Salamah told us, Ibn Ishaq said: He originated the heavens and the earth, and they did not exist except by His power. He did not seek the help of anyone from His creation for that, and He did not associate anyone in any part of His overwhelming authority or His effective command, which when He wills something to be, He says to it "Be," and it is. So He finished the creation of the heavens and the earth in six days.

8574 - Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tehrani informed me in what he wrote to me, Isma'il ibn 'Abd al-Karim informed us, 'Abd al-Samad ibn Ma'qil informed me, that he heard Wahb ibn Munabbih saying: 'Uzayr said: O Lord, You commanded the water, so it solidified in the middle of the air, and You created from it seven (heavens) and named them the heavens. Then You commanded the water to split from the earth, then You commanded the earth to distinguish itself from the water, and it was so; so You named all of that the earths, and all of the water the seas.

His saying, the Almighty: "In six days"

8575 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab ibn al-Harith told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Created the heavens and the earth in six days," he said: A day whose duration is a thousand years.
