Translation · EN

His saying, the Almighty: "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds, the Lord of Moses and Aaron."

8811 - 'Ammar told us, Muhammad and Zayd told us, from Asbagh, from al-Qasim, Sa'id ibn Jubayr told me, from Ibn 'Abbas: When the magicians realized that, they said: "If this were magic, it would not have attained all of this from our magic. Rather, this is a matter from Allah. We have believed in Allah and in what Moses brought, and we repent to Allah from what we were upon."

8812 - Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani informed us in what he wrote to me, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us, from a man, from Abu Salih, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds," he said: They were magicians at the beginning of the day and martyrs at the end of the day, meaning when they were killed.

8813 - My father told us, Ibrahim ibn Sa'id al-Jawhari told us, Abu Usamah told us, Shibl told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, who said: Pharaoh was a Persian from the people of Istakhr.

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, this is a plot you have plotted in the city."

8814 - Abu Zur'ah told us, 'Amr ibn Hammad ibn Talhah told us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, who said: Pharaoh said: "...Indeed, this is a plot you have plotted in the city, so that you might meet and conspire to drive its people out from it."

His saying, the Almighty: "I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides."

8815 - Muhammad ibn Yahya told us, Yusuf ibn Waqid informed us, Ya'qub told us, from Ja'far ibn Abi al-Mughirah, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding: "I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, then I will surely crucify you," and the first to cut off hands and feet and crucify was Pharaoh.

8816 - Abu Zur'ah told us, 'Amr ibn Hammad told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi regarding: "I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides," he said: He killed them and dismembered them as he had said.

His saying, the Almighty: "They said, 'Indeed, we are to our Lord returning.'"

8817 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, 'Ata' ibn Dinar told me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "Indeed, we are to our Lord returning," meaning: We are returning to our Lord.
