Translation · EN

meaning Ibn Maymun, from a man, meaning Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, "I have repented to You" for asking You to see You.

His saying, the Exalted: "And I am the first of the believers."

8951 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab told us, Bishr reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Glory be to You, I have repented to You, and I am the first of the believers," he says: I am the first to believe right now, he says: at this moment that no one shall see You, and for that reason he said: "And I am the first of the believers."

8952 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj told us, Yahya ibn al-Yaman told us, from Sufyan, from 'Isa al-Jurashi, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "I have repented to You and I am the first of the believers," he said: From my asking You to see You.

8953 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "And I am the first of the believers," he said: The first of my people in faith.

His saying, the Exalted: "He said, O Moses, I have chosen you over the people."

8954 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, 'Abd al-A'la ibn Hammad al-Narsi told us, Yazid ibn Zuray' told us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah who said: Allah took Abraham as a close friend (khalil), and spoke to Moses directly, and made Jesus like unto Adam, creating him from dust then saying to him "Be" and he was; and he is the servant of Allah and His messenger, from Allah's word and His spirit; and He gave Solomon a kingdom that would not belong to anyone after him; and He gave David the Psalms; and He forgave Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace and all of them, for what preceded of his sin and what followed.

8955 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa told us, Harun ibn Hatim told us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad told us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik regarding His saying: "Chosen," meaning selected.

His saying, the Exalted: "And We wrote for him."

8956 - It was mentioned from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Bishr ibn al-Hakam al-Naysaburi, Musa ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Qanbari told us, al-Hakam ibn Aban told me, 'Ikrimah told me that the Torah was written with pens of gold.
