Ishaq, from Husayn ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Ubayd Allah, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas, who said:

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, wrote to the Jews: "From Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, the brother of Musa (Moses) and his companion. Allah sent him with that which He sent him. I adjure you by Allah and by what was sent down to Musa on the day at Mount Sinai, and [how He] parted the sea for you, saved you, destroyed your enemy, fed you manna and quails, and shaded you with the clouds.

Do you find in your Book that I am the Messenger of Allah to you all? If that is the case, then fear Allah and submit [to Islam], and if it is not with you, then there is no claim against you."

His saying, the Almighty: "To Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth"

8361 - 'Ali ibn Abi Dulamah al-Baghdadi told us, 'Abd al-Wahhab ibn 'Ata' told us, Sa'id told us, from Qatadah, from Safwan ibn Muhriz, from Hakim ibn Hizam, who said: While the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was among his companions, he said to them: "Do you hear what I hear?" They said: We do not hear anything. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "I hear the creaking of the heaven, and it is not to be blamed for creaking; there is not a space of a span in it, except that there is an angel upon it, prostrating or standing."

8362 - Ahmad ibn 'Isam al-Ansari told us, Mu'ammal told us, Sufyan told us, Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad told us, from 'Abd Allah ibn al-Harith, who said: Ka'b said: There is no space the size of a needle's eye on the earth except that an angel is appointed over it, raising the knowledge of that to Allah. And the angels of the heaven are more numerous than the number of the dust, and the bearers of the Throne—the distance between the earlobe of one of them and his shoulder is a journey of a hundred years.

His saying, the Almighty: "There is no deity except Him"

8363 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab ibn al-Harith told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas: "There is no deity except Allah"—it is Tawhid (oneness of God).

8364 - Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la informed us by way of reading, Ibn Wahb informed us, he said: And 'Umar ibn Muhammad also told me, from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father, who said: al-Saluli informed me, from Ka'b, who said: "There is no deity except Allah" is the word of sincerity.
