Translation · EN

8406 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab ibn al-Harith told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "And they were wronging themselves"—he said: They were harming (themselves).

His saying, the Almighty: "When it was said to them: 'Dwell in this city.'"

8407 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' told us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "This city"—he said: Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem).

His saying, the Almighty: "And say: 'Hittah' (Repentance/Forgiveness)."

8408 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan told us, Yahya ibn Adam told us, Sufyan told us, from al-A'mash, from al-Minhal, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "And say: 'Hittah'"—he said: Forgiveness; ask for forgiveness. It was narrated from 'Ata', al-Hasan, Qatadah, and al-Rabi' ibn Anas something similar.

8409 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab told us, Bishr informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "And say: 'Hittah'"—he said: Say: "This affair is the truth" just as it has been said to you.

8410 - Abu 'Abd Allah al-Tahrani told us, Hafs ibn 'Umar al-'Adani informed us, al-Hakam ibn Aban told us, from 'Ikrimah regarding his saying: "And say: 'Hittah'"—he says: Say: "There is no god but Allah."

8411 - My father told us, Mahmud ibn Khalid al-Dimashqi told us, 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-Wahid told us, he said: I heard al-Awza'i narrating, he said: Ibn 'Abbas wrote to a man whom he had named, who was asking him about his saying: "And say: 'Hittah'"—so he wrote to him: That you acknowledge the sin.

8412 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' told us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "And say: 'Hittah'"—he said: al-Hasan and Qatadah said: That is, "Remove our sins from us."

His saying, the Almighty: "And enter the gate."

8413 - Muhammad ibn 'Ammar told us, he said: We read to Yahya ibn al-Durays, from Sufyan, from al-A'mash, from al-Minhal, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "And enter the gate prostrating"—he said: Through a small gate.

8414 - My father told us, Malik ibn Isma'il Abu Ghassan told us, Zuhayr told us, he said: Khusayf was asked about the saying of Allah: "Enter the gate prostrating"—he said: 'Ikrimah said that Ibn 'Abbas said: The gate was facing the Qiblah.
