Khusayf was asked about the saying of Allah: "Enter the gate prostrating"—he said: 'Ikrimah said that Ibn 'Abbas said: The gate was facing the Qiblah.

8415 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, he said: The Gate of Hittah is one of the gates of Iliya' (Jerusalem) in Bayt al-Maqdis.

His saying, the Almighty: "Prostrating"

8416 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' told us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma'mar informed us, from Hammam ibn Munabbih, that he heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah said to the Children of Israel: "Enter the gate prostrating." So they entered the gate crawling on their posteriors.

8417 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan told us, Yahya ibn Adam told us, Sufyan told us, from al-A'mash, from al-Minhal, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "Enter the gate prostrating"—he said: Bowing, through a small gate; so they entered while crawling on their posteriors.

8418 - My father told us, Abu Ghassan Malik ibn Isma'il told us, Zuhayr told us, he said: Khusayf was asked about the saying of Allah: "Enter the gate prostrating"—'Ikrimah said: Ibn 'Abbas said: They entered on their side.

8419 - My father told us, Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman told us, 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far told us, from his father, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, regarding his saying: "Prostrating"—he said: The prostration of one of them was upon his cheek.

8420 - My father told us, Muqatil ibn Muhammad told us, Waki' told us, from Sufyan, from al-Suddi, from Abu Sa'd al-Azdi, from Abu al-Kanud, from 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud, he said: It was said to them: "Enter the gate prostrating." So they entered it while looking upwards. Abu Muhammad said: The Tabi'un (Successors) differed on this.

It was narrated from Mujahid something similar to the statement of 'Ikrimah from Ibn 'Abbas, and it was narrated from 'Ikrimah and al-Suddi something similar to what was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud.

His saying, the Almighty: "We will forgive you your sins"

8421 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Safwan told us, al-Walid told us, Sa'id ibn Bashir told us, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "We will forgive you your sins"—whoever was a sinner, I would forgive him his sin.
