8060 - Musa ibn Harun al-Tusi informed us, in what he wrote to me, al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Marwazi told us, Shayban ibn 'Abd al-Rahman told us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And do not kill your children out of poverty," he said: "Out of fear of want. The people of the Jahiliyyah used to kill their daughters for fear of want and captivity." It was also narrated from al-Dahhak and al-Suddi something similar.
His saying: "And do not approach immoralities."
[The First Aspect]
8061 - Abu Zur'ah al-Dimashqi told us, Muhammad ibn Bakkar told us, Sa'id ibn Bashir told us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from 'Imran ibn Husayn, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "What do you say about the fornicator, the thief, and the drunkard?" They said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "These are immoralities, and there is a punishment for them."
8062 - My father informed us, Abu Tahir told us, Ibn Wahb told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd, that Abu Hazim al-Rahawi told him that he heard his master say: "The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to say: 'Begging from people is among the immoralities.'"
The Second Aspect:
8063 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn al-Musaffa told us, Muhammad ibn Harb told us, Abu Salamah, meaning Sulayman ibn Sulaym, told me, from Yahya ibn Jabir, who said: "It reached me that among the immoralities which Allah forbade in His Book is a man marrying a woman, and when she satisfies his desires through her child, he divorces her without any suspicion [of impropriety]."
The Third Aspect:
8064 - Al-'Abbas ibn Muhammad al-Duri told us, Muhammad ibn Bakkar told us, Abu Ma'shar told us, from Muhammad ibn Qays, regarding the saying of Allah, exalted be He: "And do not approach immoralities," he said: "They used to walk around the House [the Kaaba] naked."
The Fourth Aspect:
8065 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told me, from 'Ata' ibn Dinar, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: "immoralities," meaning: fornication."
٨٠٦٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ الطُّوسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ: قَوْلَهُ: وَلا تَقْتُلُوا أَوْلادَكُمْ مِنْ إِمْلاقٍ قَالَ: خَشْيَةَ الْفَاقَةِ، وَكَانَ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَقْتُلُ أَحَدُهُمُ ابْنَتَهُ مَخَافَةَ الْفَاقَةِ عَلَيْهَا وَالسَّبْي.
وَرُوِيَ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ وَالسُّدِّيِّ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَلا تَقْرَبُوا الْفَوَاحِشَ.

٨٠٦١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ أَن رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: أَرَأَيْتُمُ الزَّانِي وَالسَّارِقَ وَشَارِبَ الْخَمْرِ، مَا تَقُولُونَ فِيهِمْ؟ قَالُوا: اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ. قَالَ هُنَّ فَوَاحِشٌ وَفِيهِنَّ عُقُوبَةٌ.
٨٠٦٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبِي ثنا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ أَنَّ أَبَا حَازِمٍ الرَّهَاوِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مَوْلاهُ يَقُولُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: مَسْأَلَةُ النَّاسِ مِنَ الْفَوَاحِشِ.

٨٠٦٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَعْنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ مِنَ الْفَوَاحِشِ الَّتِي نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهَا فِي كِتَابِهِ تَزْوِيجِ الرَّجُلِ الْمَرْأَةَ، فَإِذَا نَفَضَتْ لَهُ وَلَدَهَا طَلَّقَهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ رِيبَةٍ.
الْوَجْهُ الثَّالِثُ:
٨٠٦٤ - حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثنا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: وَلا تَقْرَبُوا الْفَوَاحِشَ قَالَ: كَانُوا يَمْشُونَ حَوْلَ الْبَيْتِ عُرَاةً.

٨٠٦٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءُ ابْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: الْفَوَاحِشَ يَعْنِي: الزِّنَا.
