8515 - 'Ammar ibn Khalid al-Wasiti told us, Muhammad ibn al-Hasan and Yazid ibn Harun told us—the wording is that of Muhammad—from Asbagh ibn Zayd al-Warraq, from al-Qasim ibn Abi Ayyub, Sa'id ibn Jubayr told me, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: Then Moses traveled with them, heading toward the Sacred Land, and he took the tablets after his anger had subsided. 8519 - My father told us, 'Ali ibn Maymun told us, Khalid ibn Habban told us, from Ja'far ibn Burqan, from Thabit ibn al-Hajjaj regarding the saying of Allah: "As if it were a canopy," he said: The Torah came to them all at once, and it felt burdensome to them, so they refused to accept it until Allah overshadowed them with the mountain, and they accepted it at that point.
