The Second Aspect:

8072 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah told us, Muhammad ibn al-Hasan told us, Ibrahim ibn Tahman told us, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding: "The immoralities—what is apparent of them and what is concealed," he said: "What is concealed is fornication." It was also narrated from al-Zuhri, Mujahid, and Muhammad ibn Qays something similar.

The Third Aspect:

8073 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn Sa'id al-Asbahani told me, from 'Amr ibn Thabit, from his father, from 'Ali ibn Husayn regarding: "And do not approach immoralities—what is apparent of them and what is concealed," he said: "What is concealed is marrying one's father's wife."

The Fourth Aspect:

8074 - It was mentioned from Rawh ibn 'Ubadah, 'Uthman ibn Ghiyath told us, from 'Ikrimah: "And what is concealed of the immoralities: fornication and theft."

His saying: "And do not kill the soul."

8075 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar told me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted: "And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right," he means: the soul of the believer.

His saying: "Which Allah has forbidden, except by right."

8076 - And through the same chain from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah: "And do not kill the soul which He has forbidden," [meaning] its killing, except by right.

His saying: "This has He instructed you that you may use reason."

8077 - Ahmad ibn Sinan al-Wasiti told us, Yazid ibn Harun told us, Sufyan ibn Husayn informed us, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Idris al-Khawlani, from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Which of you will pledge allegiance to me regarding these three verses?" Then he recited: "Say, 'Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment. And do not kill your children out of poverty..."
