Translation · EN

His saying, the Almighty: "And Allah intends to establish the truth by His words."

8820 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us - in what he wrote to me -, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi: "And you wished that the one not having the thorn would be yours" - they wanted the caravan - "And Allah intends to establish the truth by His words."

His saying, the Almighty: "And to eliminate the disbelievers."

8821 - My father narrated to us, 'Amr ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Ibn Abi 'Adi narrated to us from Muhammad ibn 'Amr, he said: Safwan ibn Sulaym said: "And to eliminate the disbelievers," so Allah inspired to him the battle.

8822 - Abu Bakr ibn Abi Musa narrated to us, Harun ibn Hatim narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad narrated to us from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik regarding His saying: "Dabir" (eliminate/root), he said: The root.

8823 - My father narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, Ibn Idris narrated to us from Ibn Ishaq: "And to eliminate the disbelievers," [meaning] the battle which Allah inflicted upon Quraysh on the day of Badr.

His saying, the Almighty: "To establish the truth and nullify falsehood."

8824 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us - in what he wrote to me -, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "To establish the truth and nullify falsehood, even if the criminals dislike it," and they are the polytheists.

His saying, the Almighty: "[Remember] when you were asking your Lord for help."

8825 - Yazid ibn Sinan narrated to us, 'Umar ibn Yunus ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, 'Ikrimah ibn 'Ammar narrated to us, Abu Zumayl narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn 'Abbas narrated to us, 'Umar ibn al-Khattab narrated to us, he said: When it was the day of Badr, the Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) looked at the polytheists while he and his companions were three hundred and nineteen men. He said: The Prophet of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) turned toward the Qiblah, then he stretched out his hands and began to call out to his Lord: "O Allah, fulfill for me what You have promised me. O Allah, where is what You promised me? O Allah, if this group of the people of Islam perishes, You will never be worshipped on earth again." He continued to call out to his Lord, stretching out his hands, facing the Qiblah, until his outer garment fell from his shoulders. Abu Bakr came to him, took his garment, and placed it on his shoulders. Then he hugged him from behind and said: "O Prophet of Allah, your imploring your Lord is sufficient for you, for He will surely fulfill for you what He promised you." So Allah, the Almighty, revealed: "[Remember] when you were asking your Lord for help."
