His saying, the Almighty: "So strike [them] above the necks."
8876 - My father narrated to us, Abu Musa al-Ansari narrated to us, Yunus ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Isa ibn 'Abd Allah al-Sa'di al-Tamimi (meaning Abu Ja'far al-Razi) narrated to us from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, who said: On the day of Badr, people used to recognize the slain killed by the angels by their striking them above the necks and on the fingertips, like the mark of fire by which it had been burned.
8877 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn Hamzah narrated to us, 'Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn Waqid narrated to us from his father, from Yazid al-Nahwi, from 'Ikrimah regarding "So strike [them] above the necks," he says: The heads.
8878 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Munib narrated to us, Abu Mu'adh narrated to us from 'Ubayd ibn Sulayman, from al-Dahhak, who says: Strike the necks.
His saying, the Almighty: "And strike from them every fingertip."
8879 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih (the scribe of al-Layth) narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And strike from them every fingertip," meaning by the fingertips: The extremities.
8880 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Ibn Idris narrated to us from his father, from 'Atiyyah regarding "And strike from them every fingertip," he said: Every joint. It was narrated from 'Ikrimah, al-Dahhak, and al-Suddi the same.
8881 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Wahb ibn 'Atiyyah al-Sulami narrated to us, 'Ubayd ibn al-Walid ibn Abi al-Sa'ib narrated to us from Hiql ibn Ziyad, from al-Awza'i regarding His saying: "And strike from them every fingertip," he said: Strike from him the face and the eye, and pelt him with a flame of fire, and if you take him, that [action] will make all of that unlawful for you.
His saying, the Almighty: "That Allah is severe in penalty."
8882 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad ibn 'Abdah narrated to us, Hammad ibn Zayd informed us from 'Ali ibn Zayd, who said: Mutarrif recited this verse: "That Allah is severe in penalty," and said: If people knew the extent of Allah's punishment, Allah's vengeance, Allah's might, and Allah's chastisement, their tears would never cease, and their eyes would find no solace in anything.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى فَاضْرِبُوا فَوْقَ الأَعْنَاقِ
٨٨٧٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا أَبُو مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا عِيسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السَّعْدِيُّ التَّمِيمِيُّ يَعْنِي أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ- عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّاسُ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ يَعْرِفُونَ قَتْلَى الْمَلائِكَةِ مِمَّنْ قَتَلُوهُمْ بِضَرْبِهِمْ فَوْقَ الأَعْنَاقِ وَعَلَى الْبَنَانِ، مِثْلَ سِمَةِ النَّارِ قَدْ أُحْرِقَ بِهِ.
٨٨٧٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ النَّحْوِيِّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ فَاضْرِبُوا فَوْقَ الأَعْنَاقِ يَقُولُ:
الرُّؤُوسِ.
٨٨٧٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُنِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاذٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ يَقُولُ: اضْرِبُوا الرِّقَابَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاضْرِبُوا مِنْهُمْ كُلَّ بَنَانٍ
٨٨٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ كَاتِبُ اللَّيْثِ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَاضْرِبُوا مِنْهُمْ كُلَّ بَنَانٍ يَعْنِي بِالْبَنَانِ:
الأَطْرَافَ.
٨٨٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ثنا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ وَاضْرِبُوا مِنْهُمْ كُلَّ بَنَانٍ قَالَ: كُلَّ مَفْصِلٍ. وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ وَالضَّحَّاكِ وَالسُّدِّيِّ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.
٨٨٨١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ السُّلَمِيُّ ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّائِبِ عَنْ هِقْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَاضْرِبُوا مِنْهُمْ كُلَّ بَنَانٍ قَالَ: اضْرِبْ مِنْهُ الْوَجْهَ وَالْعَيْنَ، وَارْمِهْ بِشِهَابٍ مِنْ نَارٍ، فَإِذَا أَخَذْتُهُ حَرَّمَ ذَلِكَ كُلَّهُ عليك.
قوله تعالى: أَنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ
٨٨٨٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ أَنْبَأَ حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ:
تَلا مُطَرِّفُ هَذِهِ الآيةديد الْعِقَابِ قَالَ: لَوْ يَعْلَمُ النَّاسُ قَدْرَ عُقُوبَةِ اللَّهِ وَنِقْمَةِ اللَّهِ وَبَأْسِ اللَّهِ وَنَكَالِ اللَّهِ لَمَا رَقَى لَهُمْ دَمْعٌ وَمَا قَرَّتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ بِشَيْءٍ.
