His saying, the Exalted: "Then We gave Moses the Scripture."

8108 - My father told us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Raja’ told us, ‘Imran Abu al-‘Abu al-‘Awwam al-Qattan informed us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Malih, from Wathilah, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The Torah was revealed on the sixth day passed of Ramadan."

8109 - ‘Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Hisinjani told us, Ibn Abi Maryam told us, al-Mufaddal ibn Fadalah told us, Abu Sakhr told me: "Then We gave Moses the Scripture as a completion for the one who did good." He said: Allah is the One who did good; He gave Muhammad the Scripture from Himself, as a completion for the good He had already done towards him. He says: "Then We gave Moses the Scripture as a completion" such that He is the One who completed that for him, for Allah is the One who did good.

His saying: "As a completion."

8110 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us, in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj told us, he said: I heard ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam, regarding His saying: "Then We gave Moses the Scripture as a completion for the one who did good," he said: "A completion from Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, and His benevolence which He bestowed upon them, guiding them to Islam. He gave them that Scripture as a completion of His blessings upon them and His benevolence."

His saying, the Exalted: "For the one who did good."

8111 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa’ told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid(1) regarding His saying: "As a completion for the one who did good," he said: "For the believers."

8112 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi‘ told us, ‘Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma‘mar informed us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "Then We gave Moses the Scripture as a completion for the one who did good," he said: "Whoever does good in this world, Allah will complete that for him in the Hereafter."

8113 - My father told us, Ahmad ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman told us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja‘far told us, from his father, from al-Rabi‘: As for His saying: "As a completion for the one who did good," he says: "He did good in what Allah gave him."

His saying: "And a detailed explanation."

8114 - Muhammad ibn Yahya told us, al-‘Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid told us, from Sa‘id, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And a detailed explanation of all things," meaning: "A clarification of all things, and it contains its lawful and prohibited matters."
