Translation · EN

Sa'd: I have fought with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, until there was no fitnah, but you and that one with the belly (al-batin) want me to fight until there is fitnah. It was also narrated from Ibn Umar similar to that.

9073 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn Abbas, regarding "And fight them until there is no fitnah," he said: He says: Meaning until there is no shirk (polytheism) toward Allah. It was also narrated from Abu al-Aliyah, Mujahid, al-Hasan, Qatadah, al-Rabi' ibn Anas, al-Suddi, Muqatil ibn Hayyan, and Zayd ibn Aslam similar to the saying of Ibn Abbas.

9074 - Muhammad ibn al-Abbas, the client of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Amr Zunayj narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, he said: It reached me from al-Zuhri, from Urwah ibn al-Zubayr and others of the scholars that He revealed regarding him "And fight them until there is no fitnah," meaning: until a believer is not tried (or persecuted) regarding his religion.

His saying, the Almighty: "And the religion, all of it, is for Allah."

9075 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn Abbas, regarding His saying: "And the religion, all of it, is for Allah," he said: Tawhid (monotheism) is made pure for Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.

9076 - My father narrated to us, Mahbub ibn Musa al-Antaki narrated to us, Abu Ishaq al-Fazari narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Abi Arubah, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And the religion, all of it, is for Allah," he said: "There is no god but Allah."

I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf narrated to us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding His saying: "But if they cease from fighting you and embrace Islam."

9077 - My father narrated to us, Abu Hudhayfah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "But if they cease," he said: "But if they repent."

His saying, the Almighty: "And if they turn away."

9078 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us, from Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn Abbas: "And if they turn away," meaning: the disbelievers, they turn away from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
