9079 - Muhammad ibn al-Abbas narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Amr narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, Yahya ibn Abbad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, from his father: "And if they turn away" from your command to what they are upon of their disbelief.

9081 - My father narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq: "Know that Allah is your Protector," who strengthened you on the day that was before it, meaning: Badr. "And your Protector; excellent is the Protector, and excellent is the Helper."

His saying, the Almighty: "And know that anything you take as booty."

9082 - My father narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, Yahya ibn Abbad ibn Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, from his father, he said: Then He established the divisions of the fay' (spoils of war) and made it known to him, and said: "And know that anything you take as booty" after what had passed of Badr, "then for Allah is one-fifth of it and for the Messenger" until the end of the verse. Meaning: the day of Badr.

His saying, the Almighty: "From anything."

9083 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abdullah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah: "And know that anything you take as booty," meaning: from the polytheists.

9084 - Usayd ibn 'Asim narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn Hafs narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Layth, from Mujahid: "Anything you take as booty," he said: Even a needle of something.

His saying, the Almighty: "Then for Allah is one-fifth of it."

[The First Aspect]

9085 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Usamah and Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Qays ibn Muslim, he said: I asked al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib about His saying: "And know that anything you take as booty, then for Allah is one-fifth of it." As for His saying: "Then for Allah is one-fifth of it," this is a beginning of a statement, for to Allah belongs the Hereafter and the first life. It was also narrated from Abu al-Aliyah, 'Ata', Ibrahim al-Nakha'i, al-Hasan al-Basri, and al-Sha'bi similar to that.
