9104 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, from Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding his saying: "The day the two armies met," [he means] He gathered the believers and He gathered the polytheists.
His saying, the Almighty: "And Allah is over all things capable"
9105 - Muhammad ibn al-Abbas narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Amr narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq regarding: "Over all things capable," meaning: Allah is indeed capable of whatever He wills for His servants, whether it be retribution or pardon.
His saying, the Almighty: "When you were on the near side of the valley"
9106 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn Abbas, regarding his saying: "When you were on the near side of the valley," he said: The bank of the valley. And it was narrated from Qatadah similarly.
9107 - My father narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq: "When you were on the near side of the valley," [that is] towards Madinah.
His saying, the Almighty: "And they were on the farther side"
9108 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abd al-A'la al-San'ani narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Thawr informed us, from Ma'mar, from Qatadah: "And they were on the farther side," [meaning] they were on the edge of the farther valley.
9109 - Muhammad ibn al-Abbas narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Amr narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, Yahya ibn Abbad ibn Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, from his father: "And they were on the farther side," [meaning] the valley towards Makkah.
His saying, the Almighty: "And the caravan was lower than you"
9110 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn Abbas: "And the caravan was lower than you," he said: The caravan [is] Abu Sufyan.
9111 - My father narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, Yahya ibn Abbad ibn Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, from his father: "And the caravan was lower than you," meaning: Abu Sufyan and others, and it was lower than that towards the coast.
٩١٠٤ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَوْلُهُ: يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ جَمَعَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَجَمَعَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاللَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
٩١٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا سَلَمَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ أَيْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى مَا أَرَادَ بِعِبَادِهِ مِنْ نِقْمَةٍ أَوْ عَفْوٍ لَقَدِيرٌ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: إِذْ أَنْتُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا
٩١٠٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلُهُ: إِذْ أَنْتُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا قَالَ: شَاطِئِ الْوَادِي.
وَرُوِيَ عَنِ قَتَادَةَ نَحْوَ ذَلِكَ.
٩١٠٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ثنا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ إِذْ أَنْتُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَهُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوَى
٩١٠٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَوْرٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَهُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوَى وَهُمْ بِشَفِيرِ الْوَادِي الأَقْصَى.
٩١٠٩ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا سَلَمَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَهُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوَى الْوَادِي إِلَى مَكَّةَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَالرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ
٩١١٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَالرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ قَالَ: الرُّكَبُ: أَبُو سُفْيَانَ
٩١١١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ثنا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَالرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ يَعْنِي: أَبَا سُفْيَانَ وَغَيْرَهُ، وَهِيَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ نَحْوَ السَّاحِلِ.
