9161 - Muhammad ibn al-Abbas narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, Yahya ibn 'Abbad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, from his father, regarding "Turned on his heels," he said: The two hosts met, and the one he saw when he turned back was al-Harith ibn Hisham or 'Umayr ibn Wahb al-Jumahi, and he mentioned one of them.

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, I see what you do not see."

9162 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas: "Indeed, I see what you do not see," and that was when he saw the angels.

9163 - Yahya ibn 'Abdak al-Qazwini narrated to us, al-Muqri' narrated to us, Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "And he said, 'Indeed, I am free of you; indeed, I see what you do not see.'" He said: He saw Jibril, wearing his mantle, leading the horse before his companions, as he had never mounted it before.

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, I fear Allah, and Allah is severe in punishment."

9164 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray', narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding: "And he said, 'Indeed, I am free of you; indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed, I fear Allah, and Allah is severe in punishment.'" He said: It was mentioned to us that he saw Jibril, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, descending with the angels. The enemy of Allah knew that he had no power against the angels, so he said: "Indeed, I see what you do not see; indeed, I fear Allah." The enemy of Allah lied; he had no fear of Allah, but he knew that he had no power over them and no defense. That is the habit of the enemy of Allah toward those who obey him and submit to him, until when truth and falsehood meet, he betrays them in the worst of ways and disavows them at that moment.

His saying, the Almighty: "When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease say"

9165 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd ibn 'Atiyyah informed me in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to us, my uncle narrated to us, from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas: "When the hypocrites say," and they were, on that day, among the Muslims.

9166 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Thawr informed us, from Ma'mar, from al-Hasan: "When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease say," he said: They are a people who did not witness the battle, so they were called hypocrites.

9167 - My father narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq: "When the hypocrites and those in whose hearts is a disease say," and they were the youths who went out with Quraysh from Makkah.
