The Second Aspect:
9104 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, from Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding His saying: "And tethering of horses," he said: They are the horses.
His saying, the Almighty: "That you may terrify thereby"
9105 - Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Ahmasi narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Isra'il, from 'Uthman ibn al-Mughirah al-Thaqafi, from Mujahid, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "That you may terrify thereby the enemy of Allah and your enemy," he said: You disgrace by it the enemy of Allah and your enemy. It was narrated from Mujahid something similar.
His saying, the Almighty: "The enemy of Allah and your enemy"
9106 - I read to Muhammad, Muhammad narrated to us, Muhammad narrated to us, from Bukayr, from Muqatil, regarding His saying: "That you may terrify thereby the enemy of Allah and your enemy" from among the polytheists.
His saying, the Almighty: "And others besides them whom you do not know"
[The First Aspect]
9107 - Abu 'Utbah ibn al-Faraj al-Himsi narrated to us, Abu Haywah—that is, Shurayh ibn Yazid al-Muqri'—narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Sinan al-Kindi narrated to us, from Ibn 'Arib—that is, Yazid ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Arib—from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to say regarding the saying of Allah: "And others besides them whom you do not know," he said: They are the jinn.
The Second Aspect:
9108 - Al-Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "And others besides them," [he said]: Qurayzah.
The Third Aspect:
9109 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim narrated to us, from Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding His saying: "And others besides them," he said: Meaning: The hypocrites.
