"And if they incline to peace, then incline toward it." That is: If they invite you to peace based on Islam, then make peace with them on that basis.
His saying, the Almighty: "And rely upon Allah; indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing"
9123 - By the same chain, from his father, regarding His saying: "And rely upon Allah"—that is, Allah is sufficient for you—"Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing."
His saying, the Almighty: "And if they intend to deceive you"
9124 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "And if they intend to deceive you"—[it refers to] Qurayza.
His saying, the Almighty: "To deceive you"
9125 - My father narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq: "And if they intend to deceive you," he said: If they intend to deceive you or plot against you, then Allah is sufficient for you.
His saying, the Almighty: "Then indeed, sufficient for you is Allah"
9126 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, Abu Ghassan Muhammad ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Salamah ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, Yahya ibn 'Abbad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to us, from his father: "Then indeed, sufficient for you is Allah"—He is behind that.
His saying, the Almighty: "It is He who supported you with His help"
9127 - By the same chain, from Yahya ibn 'Abbad, from his father: "It is He who supported you with His help"—meaning: after [a state of] weakness.
His saying, the Almighty: "And with the believers"
9128 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim reported to us—in what he wrote to me—Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi: "It is He who supported you with His help and with the believers," he said: With the Ansar. A similar report was narrated from Bashir ibn Thabit al-Ansari.
His saying, the Almighty: "And brought their hearts together"
9129 - My father narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, regarding His saying: "And brought their hearts together"—by the Islam to which He guided them.
وَإِنْ جَنَحُوا لِلسَّلْمِ فَاجْنَحْ لَهَا أَيْ إِنْ دَعَوْكَ إِلَى السَّلْمِ عَلَى الإِسْلامِ فَصَالِحْهُمْ عَلَيْهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
٩١٢٣ - وَبِهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَوْلُهُ: وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَافِيَكَ، إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَإِنْ يُرِيدُوا أَنْ يَخْدَعُوكَ
٩١٢٤ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ثنا شَبَابَةُ ثنا وَرْقَاءُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَإِنْ يُرِيدُوا أَنْ يَخْدَعُوكَ قُرَيْظَةُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَنْ يَخْدَعُوكَ
٩١٢٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ثنا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ وَإِنْ يُرِيدُوا أَنْ يَخْدَعُوكَ قَالَ: وَإِنْ كَانُوا يُرِيدُونَ خَدِيعَتَكَ أَوْ مَكْرًا بِكَ فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ اللَّهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ اللَّهِ
٩١٢٦ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فَإِنَّ حَسْبَكَ اللَّهُ هُوَ مِنْ وَرَاءِ ذَلِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: هُوَ الَّذِي أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِ
٩١٢٧ - وَبِهِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ هُوَ الَّذِي أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِ يَعْنِي: بَعْدَ الضَّعْفِ
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ
٩١٢٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ عَنْ أَسْبَاطَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ هُوَ الَّذِي أَيَّدَكَ بِنَصْرِهِ وَبِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ: بِالأَنْصَارِ. وَرُوِيَ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ مِثْلُهُ
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ
٩١٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ثنا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَوْلُهُ:
وَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِهِمْ بِالإِسْلامِ الَّذِي هَدَاهُمْ لَهُ.
