8259 - My father told us, Nasr ibn ‘Ali al-Jahdami told us, my father informed me, from Shu‘bah, from Isma‘il, from Abu Salih: regarding His saying: "Then I will surely come to them from before them and from behind them, from their right and from their left," he said: I will conceal falsehood from them and make it desirable to them.

8260 - My father told us, Ahmad ibn al-Sabah told us, al-Khaffaf told us, Sa‘id informed us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan: "And from their left," he says: From the direction of evil deeds; he commands them to do them, urges them toward them, and beautifies them in their eyes. It was narrated from Mujahid, al-Nakha‘i, al-Hakam ibn ‘Utaybah, and ‘Ikrimah similar to this.

8261 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa’ told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: His saying: "And from their left," [meaning] from where they cannot see.

8262 - My father told us, Abu Ghassan told us, Ibrahim ibn al-Barqan told us, from Mujahid, from al-Sha‘bi: His saying: "Then I will surely come to them from before them and from behind them, from their right and from their left," he said: Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, sent down mercy upon them from above them.

His saying, the Almighty: "And You will not find most of them grateful."

8263 - My father told us, Abu Salih told us, Mu‘awiyah ibn Salih told me, from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn ‘Abbas: His saying: "And You will not find most of them grateful," he says: Monotheists (muwahhidin).

His saying, the Almighty: "He said, 'Get out of it.'"

8264 - It was mentioned from Muhammad ibn al-Salt, ‘Abdullah ibn Khirash told us, from al-‘Awwam ibn Hawshab, from Ibrahim: "Get out of it," he said: From Paradise.

8265 - Abu Zur‘ah told us, ‘Amr ibn Hammad told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, who said: Allah said to Iblis when he refused and acted arrogantly: "Get out of it."

His saying, the Almighty: "Disgraced (madh’uman)."

8266 - Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-A‘la ibn Yazid al-Muqri told us, Sufyan told us, from Ibn Ishaq, from al-Tamimi, that he asked Ibn ‘Abbas: regarding His saying: "Get out of it, disgraced," he said: Abhorred (maqitan).
