7968 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh told us, he said: I heard Ibn Zayd ibn Aslam, regarding His saying: "And give its due on the day of its harvest," he said: My father used to say: Its tithes (ushur). He said: And he said to the governors: Do not commit excess, do not take what is not rightfully yours; indeed, He does not like the excessive. So He commanded these [people] to perform its due, its tithes, and commanded the governors not to take except by right.
His saying, the Exalted: "And of the grazing livestock"
7969 - Abu Zur'ah told us, 'Amr ibn Hammad told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "And of the grazing livestock," he said: The livestock (al-an'am) is that which grazes.
His saying: "burden-bearing and small"
[The First Aspect]
7970 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj told us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa told us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Ahwas, from 'Abd Allah: "Burden-bearing (hamulah)" is that which carries [loads], [specifically] of camels.
The Second Aspect:
7971 - Ahmad ibn Sinan told us, Ibn Mahdi told us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Ahwas, from 'Abd Allah, regarding His saying: "burden-bearing," he said: The burden-bearing is the large [ones]. It was narrated from al-Hasan the like of that.
The Third Aspect:
7972 - My father told us, Abu Salih told us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih told me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "burden-bearing and small." As for the burden-bearing, it is the camels, horses, mules, donkeys, and everything that is carried upon.
The Fourth Aspect:
7973 - Muhammad ibn 'Ammar told us, 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki told us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi informed us, from al-Rabi', from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "And of the grazing livestock, burden-bearing and small," he said: The burden-bearing is the camels and the cattle.

7974 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj told us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa told us, Sufyan informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Ahwas, from 'Abd Allah, he said: And the "small" (farsh) are the young ones.
