8405 - Abu Zur‘ah told us, Safwan ibn Salih told us, al-Walid told us, Shu‘ayb told us, from ‘Ata’ al-Khurasani, from ‘Ikrimah, who said: The adornment will be exclusive on the Day of Resurrection for whoever believed today in this world.
His saying, the Almighty: "Like that."
8406 - Abu Zur‘ah told us, Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr told us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Lahi‘ah told me, ‘Ata’ ibn Dinar told me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah: "Like that"—meaning: thus.
His saying, the Almighty: "We detail the verses for a people who know."
8407 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi‘ informed us, ‘Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma‘mar informed us, from Qatadah: His saying: "Like that We detail the verses"—We explain the verses.
His saying, the Almighty: "Say, 'My Lord has only forbidden immoralities.'"
[The first interpretation]
8408 - My father informed me, Abu al-Tahir ibn al-Sarh told us, Ibn Wahb told us, Ibn Lahi‘ah informed us, from Yazid ibn Abi Habib, from Muhammad ibn ‘Ubaydan, that Hazim al-Rahawi told him that he heard his master saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say: "Asking [for charity] from people is among the immoralities."
And the second interpretation:
8409 - Abu Zur‘ah told us, Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr told us, Ibn Lahi‘ah told me, ‘Ata’ ibn Dinar told me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr regarding the saying of Allah: "Say, 'My Lord has only forbidden immoralities'"—meaning: zina (adultery/fornication).
The third interpretation:
8410 - al-‘Abbas ibn Muhammad al-Duri told us, Muhammad ibn Bakkar told us, Abu Ma‘shar told us, from Muhammad ibn Qays: regarding His saying: "the immoralities," he said: They used to walk around the House [the Ka‘bah] naked.
His saying, the Almighty: "What is apparent of them and what is concealed."
8411 - My father told us, Abu Salih told us, Mu‘awiyah ibn Salih told me, from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying: "the immoralities, what is apparent of them and what is concealed," he said: In the Jahiliyyah, they did not see any harm in zina in secret, but they considered it ugly in public. So Allah forbade zina both in secret and in public. Abu Muhammad [Ibn Abi Hatim] said: Similar to this was narrated from ‘Ata’ al-Khurasani, ‘Ikrimah, Abu Salih, ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn, Qatadah, Matar al-Warraq, al-Rabi‘ ibn Anas, and al-Suddi.
٨٤٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ، ثنا شُعَيْبٌ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ: الزِّينَةُ تَخْلَصُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لِمَنْ آمَنَ الْيَوْمَ فِي الدُّنْيَا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: كَذَلِكَ
٨٤٠٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: كَذَلِكَ يَعْنِي: هَكَذَا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: نُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يعلمون
٨٤٠٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ: قَوْلُهُ:
كَذَلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ نُبَيِّنُ الآيَاتِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ ربي الفواحش

٨٤٠٨ - أخبرنى أبى ثنا أبو الطاهر بْنُ السَّرْحِ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عبيدانَ أَنَّ حَازِمَ الرَّهَاوِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مَوْلاهُ يَقُولُ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: مَسْأَلَةُ النَّاسِ مِنَ الْفَوَاحِشَ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٨٤٠٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: قُلْ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ الْفَوَاحِشَ يَعْنِي الزِّنَا.

٨٤١٠ - حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ ثنا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ: قَوْلُهُ: الْفَوَاحِشَ، قَالَ: كَانُوا يَمْشُونَ حَوْلَ الْبَيْتِ عُرَاةً.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ
٨٤١١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: قَوْلُهُ: الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ قَالَ: كَانُوا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لَا يَرَوْنَ بِالزِّنَا بَأْسًا فِي السِّرِّ وَيَسْتَقْبِحُونَهُ فِي الْعَلانِيَةِ، فَحَرَّمَ اللَّهُ الزِّنَا فِي السِّرِّ وَالْعَلانِيَةِ. قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ وَعِكْرِمَةَ وَأَبِي صَالِحٍ وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَقَتَادَةَ وَمَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَالسُّدِّيِّ: نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
