8503 - Muhammad ibn 'Ammar told us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Sa'd told us, Abu Sinan informed us, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from 'Abd Allah ibn al-Harith ibn Nawfal, who said: The companions of the A'raf are the poor of the people of Paradise. They will enter Paradise, and they will be taken to a river in Paradise whose banks are made of reeds, and they will bathe in it. A white mark will appear on their throats; whenever they receive more blessings, the whiteness increases, and they are recognized by that mark.

The fourth aspect:

8504 - My father told us, Mahmud ibn Khalid and Hisham ibn 'Ammar told us, saying: Al-Walid informed us, Sa'id told us, from Qatadah, from Muslim ibn Yasar, who said: They are a people who had debt.

8505 - My father told us, Ibn Nufayl al-Harrani told us, Muhammad ibn Salamah told us, from Khusayf, from Mujahid, regarding His saying, the Almighty and Exalted: "And upon the A'raf are men" (Qur'an 7:46), he said: They are men to whom Allah gave knowledge and merit, so they weighed these people by their deeds, and they weighed those people by their deeds.

The fifth aspect:

8506 - My father told us, Muqatil ibn Hamad told us, Waki' told us, Sufyan told us, from Khusayf, from Mujahid, who said: The companions of the A'raf are a righteous people, scholars and jurists.

The sixth aspect:

8507 - My father told us, 'Abd Allah ibn Marwan Abu Shaykh al-Harrani told us, Zuhayr ibn Mu'awiyah told us, Sulayman al-Taymi told us, from Abu Mijlaz, regarding "And upon the A'raf are men," he said: They are men from the angels who recognize both groups, the people of the Fire and the people of Paradise. He said: And this is before the people of Paradise enter Paradise.

The seventh aspect:

8508 - My father told us, Hisham ibn 'Ammar told us, al-Walid told us, Sa'id informed me, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, regarding the companions of the A'raf, he said: They are a people in whom there was pride.

His saying, the Almighty: "They recognize each by their mark" (Qur'an 7:46)

8509 - My father told us, 'Abdah ibn Sulayman told us, Ibn al-Mubarak informed us, Juwaybir informed us, from al-Dahhak.
