al-Hudhali from al-Hasan, who said: "The 'witnessed' is what you have seen of His creation, and the 'unseen' is what is absent from you, which you have not seen."
His saying the Exalted: "They will swear by Allah to you."
10205 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us from Ibn Abi Najih from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "They will swear by Allah to you when you return to them that you might turn away from them," he said: The hypocrites.
His saying the Exalted: "So turn away from them; indeed, they are rijs (an impurity/abomination)," the verse.
10206 - It was mentioned from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Bishr ibn al-Hakam, Musa ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hakam and said: Regarding His saying: "They will swear by Allah to you when you return to them that you might turn away from them. So turn away from them; indeed, they are rijs," he said: 'Ikrimah narrated to me, he said: Muhash ibn 'Uwaymir said: "If they are indeed abominations (arjas), then we are worse than donkeys." So this verse was revealed concerning them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him: "What did you say?" He said: "I did not say anything." He asked him again, and he said: "I did not say anything." He then said: "Certainly, how can I not confess when Jibril (peace be upon him) has brought it down from the heaven?!"
10207 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali narrated to us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "They will swear by Allah to you when you return to them that you might turn away from them. So turn away from them; indeed, they are rijs," he said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out, he left 'Ali behind him and did not take him out with him. The people began to talk and said: "He only left him behind because he was displeased with him." 'Ali caught up with him on the road and informed him of what the hypocrites had said. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): "When Musa went to his Lord, he appointed Harun as his successor; and I am appointing you as my successor after me. Are you not pleased to be to me in the position that Harun was to Musa? Except that there is no prophet after me." He said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." When he returned, 'Ali met him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had him ride behind him and said: "May Allah curse the hypocrites and those who oppose [me]." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered Medina while 'Ali was riding behind him, cursing the hypocrites. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the believers: "Do not speak to them and do not sit with them; turn away from them as Allah the Almighty has commanded you."
الْهُذَلِيِّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: الشَّهَادَةُ مَا قَدْ رَأَيْتُمْ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ، وَالْغَيْبُ: مَا غَابَ عَنْكُمْ مَا لَمْ تَرَوْهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: سَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ.
١٠٢٠٥ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ثنا شَبَابَةُ ثنا وَرْقَاءُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَوْلُهُ: سَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ إِذَا انْقَلَبْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لِتُعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ قَالَ:
الْمُنَافِقُونَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ رجس الْآيَةَ.
١٠٢٠٦ - ذُكِرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ بِشْرِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ قَالَ:
سَأَلْتُ الْحَكَمَ قُلْتُ: قَوْلُهُ: سَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ إِذَا انْقَلَبْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لِتُعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ رِجْسٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عِكْرِمَةُ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَاشِ بْنُ عُوَيْمِرٍ: إِنْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَرْجَاسًا فَنَحْنُ أَشَرُّ مِنَ الْحَمِيرِ، فَفِيهِمْ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ، فَسَأَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ- صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ- مَا قُلْتَ؟ فَقَالَ: لَمْ أَقَلْ شَيْئًا فَسَأَلَهُ، فَقَالَ: مَا قُلْتُ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ: لَا جَرَمَ كَيْفَ لَا أَعْتَرِفُ وَقَدْ جَاءَ بِهَا جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ؟!.
١٠٢٠٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلُهُ: سَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ إِذَا انْقَلَبْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لِتُعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ رِجْسٌ قَالَ: لَمَّا خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ- صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ- خَلَفَ عَلِيًّا بَعْدَهُ وَلَمْ يَخْرُجْ بِهِ مَعَهُ فَخَاضَ النَّاسُ فَقَالُوا: إِنَّمَا خَلَفَهُ لِسُخْطِهِ، فَأَدْرَكَهُ عَلِيٌّ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِمَا قَالَ الْمُنَافِقُونِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ- صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ- لِعَلِيٍّ- رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ-: إِنَّ مُوسَى لَمَّا ذَهَبَ إِلَى رَبِهِ اسْتَخْلَفَ هَارُونَ، وَإِنِّي أَسْتَخْلِفُكَ بَعْدِي أَفَمَا تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي كَمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى؟ إِلا أَنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي، قَالَ: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ اسْتَقْبَلَهُ عَلِيُّ، فَأَرْدَفَهُ النَّبِيُّ- صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ- خَلْفَهُ وَقَالَ: لَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ وَالْمُخَالِفِينَ، فَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَعَلِيٌّ قَائِمٌ خَلْفَهُ يَلْعَنُ الْمُنَافِقِينَ، وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ: لَا تُكَلِّمُوهُمْ وَلا تُجَالِسُوهُمْ، فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ كَمَا أَمَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
