10305 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us from Sa'id from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And those who followed them with good conduct," he said: They are the Tabi'un (Successors).

10306 - It was read to Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la, Ibn Wahb informed us, 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to me regarding His saying: "And those who followed them with good conduct," they are those who remain from the people of Islam until the Hour is established.

His saying the Exalted: "Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever."

10307 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, al-Muharibi narrated to us from Layth from 'Uthman ibn 'Umayr, Abu al-Yaqzan, from Anas: The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—said: Then the Lord, Blessed and Exalted, will manifest Himself to them and say: "Ask Me, and I will give you." He said: So they will ask Him for His pleasure, and He will say: "My pleasure is that I settle you in My abode and grant you My honor, so ask Me and I will give you." He said: So they will ask Him for His pleasure, and He said: Then He will make them witnesses that He is pleased with them.

His saying the Exalted: "That is the great attainment."

10308 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to us from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "That is the great attainment," meaning: That reward is the great attainment.

His saying the Exalted: "And among those around you of the bedouins are hypocrites, and [also] from the people of Madinah. They have become hardened to hypocrisy; you do not know them, [but] We know them."

10309 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Amr Zunayj narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: His saying: "And among those around you of the bedouins are hypocrites, and [also] from the people of Madinah. They have become hardened to hypocrisy," meaning: They have persisted in it and refused [to repent].

10300 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying regarding the saying of Allah: "And [also] from the people of Madinah. They have become hardened to hypocrisy," he said: They remained upon it and did not repent as others had repented.
