The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I hear the creaking of the heaven, and it has the right to creak; there is not a space of a span in it except that there is an angel upon it, prostrating or standing."

10077 - Ahmad ibn 'Isam al-Ansari narrated to us, Mu'ammal narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, Yazid ibn Abi Ziyad narrated to us, from 'Abd Allah ibn al-Harith, who said: Ka'b said: There is no place the size of a needle's eye on earth except that an angel is appointed over it, raising the knowledge of that to Allah. Indeed, the angels of the heaven are more numerous than the number of the dust, and indeed, the carriers of the Throne, the distance between the heel of one of them and his marrow is a journey of a hundred years.

His saying, the Exalted: "He gives life and causes death, and you have not besides Allah any protector or helper."

10078 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: "He gives life and causes death" means: He hastens what He wills and delays what He wills of their appointed times by His power.

His saying, the Exalted: "Allah has already forgiven the Prophet and the Emigrants (al-Muhajirin)."

10079 - It was mentioned from Aswad ibn 'Amir, Isra'il informed us, from Simak, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas: "Allah has already forgiven the Prophet and the Emigrants," he said: They are those who emigrated with him to Medina.

His saying, the Exalted: "And the Helpers (al-Ansar)."

10080 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Hanbal narrated to us, Hushaym narrated to us, from Isma'il and Mutarrif, from al-Sha'bi, regarding His saying: "And the Helpers," he said: They are those who gave the pledge of al-Ridwan.

His saying, the Exalted: "Those who followed him in the hour of difficulty..." the verse.

10081 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Thawr narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from 'Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil, regarding "in the hour of difficulty," he said: They went out on the expedition of Tabuk, two or three men upon one camel, and they went out in intense heat. One day, a severe thirst struck them, so they began to slaughter their camels and squeeze their stomachs, and drink their water. That was a difficulty in water, a difficulty in mounts, and a difficulty in provisions.
