[It] reports their speech. He said: They are the hypocrites. And he said: "And whenever a Surah is revealed, among them are those who say, 'Which of you has this increased in faith?'" until he reached: "Does anyone see you?" [meaning]: Has anyone who heard your news seen you and informed him of this? Was there anyone with you? Did anyone hear your speech and inform him of this?
His saying, the Almighty: "Then they turned away. Allah has diverted their hearts."
10157 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj told us, Ibn Fudayl told us, Ahmad ibn Sinan told us, Abu Mu'awiyah told us, all from al-A'mash, from Muslim Abu al-Duha, from Ibn Abbas, who said: Do not say, "We turned away" (insarafna), for a people turned away and Allah diverted their hearts.
His saying, the Almighty: "There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves."
10158 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn Abi Umar al-'Adani told us, Sufyan told us, from Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from his father, regarding His saying: "There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves, concerned for you," he said: Nothing from the birth of the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic era) touched him. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I emerged from a marriage, and I did not emerge from adultery."
10159 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn al-Musaffa told us, Baqiyyah told us, Buhayr ibn Sa'd told us, from Khalid ibn Ma'dan, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There has certainly come to you a Messenger for you, who is not weak nor lazy, to revive covered hearts, to open blind eyes, to make deaf ears hear, and to straighten crooked tongues, until it is said: There is no deity but Allah alone."
10160 - Muhammad ibn Yahya told us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray' told us, from Sa'id ibn Abi 'Arubah, from Qatadah: "There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves," he said: Allah made him from among them so that they would not envy him for what Allah has given him of prophethood and honor.
His saying, the Almighty: "Concerned for you (azizun 'alayhi ma 'anittum)."
10161 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn Abbas, regarding His saying: "Concerned for you (azizun 'alayhi)," he said: It is grievous to him.
His saying, the Almighty: "What you have suffered (ma 'anittum)."
10162 - Abu Zur'ah told us, with his chain of narration from Ibn Abbas, regarding His saying: "What you have suffered (ma 'anittum)," he said: What has burdened you."
يُخْبِرُ عَنْ كَلامِهِمْ، قَالَ: وَهُمُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ، وَقَالَ: وَإِذَا مَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَقُولُ أَيُّكُمْ زَادَتْهُ هَذِهِ إِيمَانًا حَتَّى بَلَغَ هَلْ يَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ مَنْ أَخْبَرَهُ بِهَذَا؟ أَكَانَ مَعَكُمْ أَحَدٌ؟ سَمِعَ كَلامَكُمْ أَحَدٌ يُخْبِرُهُ بِهَذَا؟
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ثُمَّ انْصَرَفُوا صَرَفَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبِهِمْ.
١٠١٥٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ ثنا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ جَمِيعًا عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: لَا تَقُولُوا انْصَرَفْنَا فإن قوما انصرفوا ف صرف اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ.
١٠١٥٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْعَدَنِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ فِي قَوْلِهِ: لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ قَالَ: لَمْ يُصِبْهُ شَيْءٌ مِنْ وِلادَةِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «خَرَجْتُ مِنْ نِكَاحٍ وَلَمْ أَخْرُجُ مِنَ السِّفَاحِ» .
١٠١٥٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى ثنا بَقِيَّةُ ثنا بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ إِلَيْكُمْ لَيْسَ بِوَهِنٍ وَلا كَسِلٍ لِيُحْيِيَ قُلُوبًا غُلْفًا وَيَفْتَحَ أَعْيُنًا عُمْيًا، وَيُسْمِعَ آذَانًا صُمًّا وَيُقِيمَ أَلْسِنَةً عِوَجًا، حَتَّى يُقَالُ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ.
١٠١٦٠ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ: لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ قَالَ: جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ، فَلا يَحْسُدُونَهُ عَلَى مَا أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ وَالْكَرَامَةِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ.
١٠١٦١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا مِنْجَابٌ أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عن ابن عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلُهُ: عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ: شَدِيدٌ عَلَيْهِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مَا عَنِتُّمْ.
