Rahman ibn Abi Hammad told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik, regarding His saying: "These" meaning: This.

His saying: "Signs"

10190 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, 'Ali ibn Zanjah told us, 'Ali ibn al-Hasan told us, from Ibn al-Husayn ibn Waqid, from Matar, he said regarding "These are the signs": He said: "[They are] the Zabur (Psalms)."

His saying, the Almighty: "of the Wise Book"

10191 - My father told us, Sahl ibn 'Uthman told us, Ibn al-Sammak told us, from Abu Bakr, from al-Hasan, regarding this verse: "Alif-Lam-Ra. These are the signs of the Book": He said: "[They are] the Torah and the Zabur."

10192 - 'Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Hisinjani told us, Abu al-Jumahir told us, Sa'id told us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "These are the signs of the Book": He said: "[They are] the scriptures that passed before the Qur'an."

His saying, the Almighty: "Is it a wonder for the people that We revealed to a man among them?"

10193 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Kurayb ibn Muhammad ibn al-'Ala' told us, 'Uthman ibn Sa'id told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah told us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, he said: When Allah sent Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a messenger, the Arabs denied that—or those among them who denied it said: "Allah is too great for His messenger to be a human being like Muhammad." So Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, revealed: "Is it a wonder for the people that We revealed to a man among them?"

His saying, the Almighty: "that he should warn the people, and give glad tidings to those who have believed"

10194 - My father told us, Hisham ibn 'Ammar told us, al-Walid ibn Muslim told us, Khulayd told us, from Qatadah, he said: The believers are those who cry out to Allah by night and day. By Allah, they never ceased saying: "Our Lord, our Lord," until it was answered for them.

10195 - Mahmud ibn Adam al-Marwudhi informed me in what he wrote to me, he said: I heard al-Nadr ibn Sahl saying: The interpretation of "believer" (al-mu'min): It is that he is safe (amin) from the punishment of Allah.

His saying, the Almighty: "that they have a truthful standing"

هَذِهِ.

قوله: آيَاتُ.

١٠١٩٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَنْجَةَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ ابْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ عَنْ مَطَرٍ قَالَ: تِلْكَ آيَاتُ قَالَ: الزَّبُورُ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: الْكِتَابِ الحكيم

١٠١٩١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، ثنا ابْنُ السَّمَّاكِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي هَذِهِ الآيَةِ: الر تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ قَالَ: التَّوْرَاةُ وَالزَّبُورُ.

١٠١٩٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْهِسِنْجَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ ثنا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَوْلُهُ: تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ قَالَ: الْكُتُبُ الَّتِي خَلَتْ قَبْلَ الْقُرْآنِ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَبًا أَنْ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى رَجُلٍ منهم.

١٠١٩٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا كُرَيْبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَسُولا أَنْكَرَتِ الْعَرَبُ ذَلِكَ أَوْ مَنْ أَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ منهم اللَّهُ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ رَسُولُهُ بَشَرًا مِثْلَ مُحَمَّدٍ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: أَكَانَ لِلنَّاسِ عَجَبًا أَنْ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَنْ أَنْذَرِ النَّاسَ وَبَشِّرِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا

١٠١٩٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثنا خُلَيْدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: الْمُؤْمِنُونَ هُمُ الْعَجَّاجُونَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ، وَاللَّهِ مَا زَالُوا يَقُولُونَ: رَبَّنَا، رَبَّنَا حَتَّى اسْتُجِيبَ لَهُمْ.

١٠١٩٥ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ آدَمَ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّضْرَ بْنَ سَهْلٍ يَقُولُ: تَفْسِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِ: إِنَّهُ آمِنٌ مِنْ عَذَابِ اللَّهِ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَنَّ لَهُمْ قَدَمَ صدق
