Translation · EN

His saying, Exalted is He: "For they have no oaths."

10026 - Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us from Abu Ishaq from Silah ibn Zufar from 'Ammar: "Then fight the leaders of disbelief, for they have no oaths." He said: They have no covenants. It was also narrated from Hudhayfah the like of this.

His saying, Exalted is He: "Perhaps they might cease."

10027 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd informed me—in what he wrote to me—, my father narrated to us, my uncle narrated to us from his father from his grandfather from Ibn 'Abbas: "Perhaps they might cease," meaning: the people of the treaty from among the polytheists.

His saying, Exalted is He: "Will you not fight a people who broke their oaths?"

10028 - My father narrated to us, 'Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, Ayyub narrated to us from 'Ikrimah regarding the hadith of the conquest of Mecca, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Whoever locks his door is safe, and whoever casts down his weapon is safe." He said: Then the Khuza'ah fought them until midday, and Allah, Exalted is He, revealed: "Will you not fight a people who broke their oaths and determined to expel the Messenger?"

His saying, Exalted is He: "And determined to expel the Messenger"

10029 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us from Ibn Abi Najih from Mujahid: "And determined to expel the Messenger," Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, recompenses that.

10030 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman informed me—in what he wrote to me—, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi: "And determined to expel the Messenger," he says: They determined to expel him, so they did expel him.

His saying, Exalted is He: "And they started against you the first time"

10031 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us from Ibn Abi Najih from Mujahid: His saying: "And they started against you the first time," [by] the fighting of Quraysh against the allies of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. It was also narrated from 'Ikrimah the like of this.
