Abu al-Darda', he said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: By Him in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, there is no day upon which the sun rises except that two angels manifest and call out, which all of Allah’s creation hears except the two species (jinn and mankind):
O people, come to your Lord! "And Allah invites to the Home of Peace and guides whom He wills to a straight path."
10327 - My father told us, Sahl ibn 'Uthman told us, Yahya ibn Aban told us, from 'Ammar ibn 'Umayr, from al-Hasan, he said: There is no night except that a caller calls out: O possessor of good, come! And O possessor of evil, desist! A man said to al-Hasan: Do you find this in the Book of Allah? He said: Yes, "And Allah invites to the Home of Peace."
10328 - My father told us, Hisham ibn Khalid told us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq told us, Sa'id ibn Abi 'Arubah told us, from Qatadah regarding: "And Allah invites to the Home of Peace and guides whom He wills to a straight path," he said: It was mentioned to us that in the Torah it is written: O seeker of good, come! And O seeker of evil, cease!
10329 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-A'la al-San'ani told us, Muhammad ibn Thawr told us, from Ma'mar, he said: And Qatadah said: "And Allah invites to the Home of Peace," so His home is Paradise.
His saying, the Exalted: "Peace"
10330 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashaj told us, Abu Tumaylah told us, from Abu al-Munib, from Abu al-Sha'tha', regarding His saying: "Home of Peace," he said: It is Peace (al-Salam), and it is a name from His names, the Almighty and Majestic.
It was narrated from Qatadah and al-Suddi that they both said: "Peace" is Allah, Blessed and Exalted.
His saying, the Exalted: "and guides whom He wills"
10331 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad told us, Adam told us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi told us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding the saying of Allah: "and guides whom He wills to a straight path," he says: He guides them to the exit from doubts, misguidance, and tribulations.
His saying, the Exalted: "a straight path"
The interpretation of the "straight path" has been mentioned more than once.
[10332] Yahya ibn 'Abdak told us, Khalid ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Makhzumi told us, 'Umar ibn Dharr told us, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "a straight path," he said: The Truth.
الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ، مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ طَلَعَتْ فِيهِ شَمْسُهُ إِلا وَتَجَلَيَتْهَا مَلَكَانِ يُنَادِيَانِ يَسْمَعْهُ خَلْقُ اللَّهِ كُلُّهُمْ إِلا الثَّقَلَيْنِ:
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، هَلُمُّوا إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ والله يدعوا إِلَى دَارِ السَّلامِ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ.
١٠٣٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبَانَ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: مَا مِنْ لَيْلَةٍ إِلا يُنَادِي مُنَادٍ يَا صَاحِبَ الْخَيْرِ هَلُمَّ وَيَا صَاحِبَ الشَّرِّ أَقْصِرْ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلْحَسَنِ: أَتَجِدُهَا في كتاب الله قال: نعم والله يدعوا إِلَى دَارِ السَّلامِ.
١٠٣٢٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَاللَّهُ يدعوا إِلَى دَارِ السَّلامِ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ قَالَ: ذُكِرَ لَنَا أَنَّ فِيَ التَّوْرَاةِ مَكْتُوبًا يَا بَاغِيَ الْخَيْرِ هَلُمَّ وَيَا بَاغِيَ الشَّرِّ انْتَهِ.
١٠٣٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَوْرٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ: وقال قتادة: والله يدعوا إِلَى دَارِ السَّلامِ فَدَارُهُ الْجَنَّةُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: السَّلامُ
١٠٣٣٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو تُمَيْلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُنِيبِ عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ فِي قَوْلِهِ: دَارُ السَّلامِ قَالَ: هُوَ السَّلامُ وَهُوَ اسْمٌ مِنْ أَسْمَائِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ
وَرُوِيَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَالسُّدِّيِّ أَنَّهُمَا قَالا السَّلامُ هُوَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ
١٠٣٣١ - حَدَّثَنَا عِصَامُ بْنُ رَوَّادٍ، ثنا آدَمُ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ يَقُولُ: يَهْدِيهِمْ لِلْمَخْرَجِ مِنَ الشُّبُهَاتِ وَالضَّلالاتِ وَالْفِتَنِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: صِرَاطٍ مستقيم
قَدْ تَقَدَّمَ تَفْسِيرُ الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ غَيْرُ مَرَّةٍ [١٠٣٣٢]
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدَكَ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ ذَرٍّ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ قَالَ: الحق.
