He said: A man is brought from the first class, and He says: My servant, why did you act? He says: O Lord, You created Paradise, its trees, its fruits, its rivers, its houris, its bliss, and what You prepared for the people of Your obedience therein, so I kept my nights awake and my days thirsty out of longing for it. He said: He says: My servant, you only acted for this Paradise, so enter it, and as a bounty from Me upon you, I will deliver you from the Fire. He said: He enters Paradise, he and those with him."
[Continuing the narration from 10445: He said:] "Then a servant is brought from the second class. He says: My servant, why did you act? He says: O Lord, You created a Fire and created its shackles, its scorching heat, its hot wind, its black smoke, and what You prepared for the people of Your punishment therein and the people of Your disobedience, so I kept my nights awake and my days weary out of fear of it. He says: My servant, you only acted out of fear of the Fire, so I deliver you from the Fire, and as a bounty from Me upon you, I have admitted you into My Paradise. He enters Paradise, he and those with him. Then a man is brought from the third class, and He says: My servant, why did you act? He says: My Lord, out of love for You and longing for You, by Your Might, I have kept my nights awake and my days thirsty out of longing for You and love for You. The Blessed and Exalted says: My servant, you only acted out of love for Me and longing for Me. The Lord then reveals Himself to him and says: Here I am, look at Me!
