His saying, Exalted is He: "And they will abide forever in the Fire"
10054 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan reported to us, Salama narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: Muhammad ibn Abi Muhammad narrated to us from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, or 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "they will abide forever," i.e., abiding eternally. And it was narrated from al-Suddi similar to that.
His saying, Exalted is He: "The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained"
10055 - Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Wahb narrated to us, 'Amr ibn al-Harith reported to us from Darraj, he narrated to us from Abu al-Haytham from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "If you see a man frequenting the mosques, then testify to his faith." Allah says: "The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah."
His saying, Exalted is He: "by those who believe in Allah"
10056 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "by those who believe in Allah," he means: whoever declares the oneness of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic.
His saying, Exalted is He: "and the Last Day"
10057 - And through the same chain from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "and the Last Day," he means: he believed in Allah and believed in what Allah, Blessed and Exalted, revealed.
His saying, Exalted is He: "and established prayer"
10058 - And through the same chain from Ibn 'Abbas: "and established prayer," he means the five prayers.
His saying, Exalted is He: "and did not fear anyone but Allah"
10059 - And through the same chain from Ibn 'Abbas, he says: And did not worship anyone but Allah.
His saying, Exalted is He: "For it is expected that those will be among the [rightly] guided"
10060 - And through the same chain from Ibn 'Abbas, he says: Verily those are the ones who are successful, similar to His saying to His Prophet (peace be upon him): "It is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station," he says: That your Lord will surely resurrect you to a praised station, which is the intercession. And every "expected" (asa) in the Qur'an is certain/obligatory (wajibah).
