And the second view:

10541 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj told us, Yahya ibn Yaman told us, from Abu Ja'far al-Razi, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliyah, regarding "Our Lord, obliterate their wealth," he said: It became stones. And it was narrated from Abu Salih similar to this.

10542 - Abu Sa'id told us, Yahya ibn Yaman told us, from a man, from al-Dahhak, who said: It became engraved stones.

10543 - Isma'il ibn Abi al-Harith told us, Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr told us, from Abu Ma'shar, Muhammad ibn Qays told me that Muhammad ibn Ka'b read Surah Yunus to 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz: "And Moses said, 'Our Lord, indeed You have given Pharaoh and his establishment splendor and wealth in the worldly life'" up to His saying: "Obliterate their wealth" to its end. 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz said to him: O Abu Hamzah, what is 'al-tams' (obliteration)? He said: Their wealth all returned to stone. 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz then said to a servant of his: Bring me a bag. He brought a bag, and inside it were chickpeas and eggs that had been cut and transformed into stones.

10544 - Abu Zur'ah told us, 'Amr ibn Hammad told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "Our Lord, obliterate their wealth." He mentioned the obliteration of the wealth, [saying] He made their dinars and dirhams stones.

10545 - My father told us, Hisham ibn Khalid told us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq told us, Ibn Abi 'Arubah told us, from Qatadah, regarding: "Our Lord, obliterate their wealth," it was mentioned to us that their crops and their wealth were transformed into stones.

His saying, the Almighty: "And harden their hearts."

10546 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi informed me in what he wrote to me, my father told me, my paternal uncle told me, my father told us, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "And harden their hearts," meaning: Seal their hearts.

10547 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding "And harden their hearts": With misguidance.

My father told me, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Munib told us, Abu Mu'adh al-Nahwi told us, 'Ubayd ibn Sulayman told us, from al-Dahhak, regarding "And harden their hearts," he says: Destroy them as disbelievers.
