Translation · EN

His saying, the Almighty: "So they will not believe."

10548 - My father told us, Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, told us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih told us, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "So they will not believe until they see the painful punishment": Allah answered him and came between him—meaning Pharaoh—and faith.

10549 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "So they will not believe": in Allah, regarding what they see of the signs, until they see the painful punishment.

His saying, the Almighty: "Until they see the painful punishment."

10550 - Muhammad ibn Sa'id informed me in what he wrote to me, my father told us, my paternal uncle told us, my father told us, from his father, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Until they see the painful punishment," and it is the Drowning.

[His saying: "Your supplication has been answered"]

10551 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj told us, al-Fadl ibn Dukayn told us, from Abu Ja'far al-Razi, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah: "Your supplication has been answered, so both of you remain on a right course." He said: Moses supplicated and Aaron said 'Amin.' It was narrated from Abu Salih similar to this, and it was narrated from 'Ikrimah, Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazi, and al-Rabi' ibn Anas something similar.

10552 - My father told us, Ishaq ibn Musa al-Khatmi told us, Ahmad ibn Bashir told us, Sa'd ibn Tarif told us, from Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn Husayn, regarding His saying: "Your supplication has been answered," he said: He said that, then He took Pharaoh after that forty days.

10553 - Abu al-Azhar Ahmad ibn al-Azhar informed me in what he wrote to me, Wahb ibn Jarir told us, my father told us, from 'Ali ibn al-Hakam, from al-Dahhak, who says: He destroyed them as disbelievers, and that is His saying: "Your supplication has been answered."

His saying, the Almighty: "So both of you remain on a right course, and do not follow the way of those who do not know."

10554 - Abu Zur'ah told us, 'Amr ibn Hammad told us, Asbat told us: He said: al-Suddi claimed that Moses was the one who supplicated and Aaron said 'Amin,' and that is when Allah says: "Your supplication has been answered, so both of you remain on a right course," so they went out among their people.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَلا يُؤْمِنُوا

١٠٥٤٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا صَالِحٍ كَاتِبُ اللَّيْثِ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: قَوْلَهُ: فَلا يُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الأَلِيمَ: فَاسْتَجَابَ اللَّهُ لَهُ وَحَالَ بَيْنَهُ يَعْنِي فِرْعَوْنَ وَبَيْنَ الإِيمَانِ.

١٠٥٤٩ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَوْلُهُ: فَلا يُؤْمِنُوا: بِاللَّهِ فِيمَا يَرَوْا مِنَ الآيَاتِ حَتَّى يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الأَلِيمَ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: حَتَّى يَرَوْا الْعَذَابَ الأَلِيمَ

١٠٥٥٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا عَمِّي، ثنا أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلُهُ: حَتَّى يَرَوُا العذاب الأليم وهو الفرق.

[قوله قد أجيبت دعوتكما]

١٠٥٥١ - حدثنا أبو سعد الأَشَجُّ، ثنا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيِّ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَدْ أُجِيبَتْ دَعْوَتُكُمَا فَاسْتَبَقَا قَالَ: دَعَا مُوسَى وَأمَّنَ هَارُونُ وَرُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ مِثْلُهُ وَرُوِيَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيِّ وَالرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.

١٠٥٥٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْخَطْمِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، ثنا سَعْدُ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: قَدْ أُجِيبَتْ دَعْوَتُكُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ فِرْعَوْنَ بَعْدَ ذلك أربعين يَوْمًا.

١٠٥٥٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الأَزْهَرِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الأَزْهَرِ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، ثنا أَبِي عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ يَقُولُ: أَهْلَكُهُمْ كُفَّارًا وَذَلِكَ قَوْلُهُ: قَدْ أُجِيبَتْ دَعْوَتُكُمَا.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَاسْتَقِيمَا وَلا تَتَّبِعَانِ سَبِيلَ الَّذِينَ لا يَعْلَمُونَ

١٠٥٥٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ قَالَ: فَزَعَمَ السُّدِّيُّ أَنَّ مُوسَى هُوَ الَّذِي دَعَا وَأمَّنَ هَارُونُ فَذَلِكَ حِينَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ: قَدْ أجيبت دعوتكما فاستقيما فَخَرَجَا فِي قَوْمِهِمْ.
