His saying, the Almighty: 'But I worship Allah, Who will take your souls.'
10622 - Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani told us, Hafs ibn 'Umar told us, al-Hakam ibn Aban told us, from 'Ikrimah regarding His saying: 'Will take your souls' (yatawaffakum)—he said: 'He takes the souls.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'And [commanded]: Direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth.' This interpretation has been mentioned more than once.
10623 - Muhammad ibn Yahya told us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray' told us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah regarding His saying: 'Inclining to truth' (hanifan)—he said: 'The Hanifiyyah is circumcision, and the prohibition of mothers, daughters, paternal aunts, and maternal aunts—that which Allah has prohibited—and the rites of pilgrimage.'
His saying: 'And do not invoke besides Allah that which neither benefits you nor harms you.'
10624 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: 'That which neither benefits us nor harms us'—he said: 'The idols.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'If you did, then you would indeed be of the wrongdoers.'
10625 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn 'Ali told us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim told us, Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf told us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan, regarding His saying: 'The wrongdoers'—meaning: 'The polytheists.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him.'
10626 - Al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan told us, Ibrahim ibn 'Abd Allah al-Harawi told us, Hajjaj told us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: 'And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him. And if He intends for you good, there is no repeller of His bounty'—he said: 'It is the truth.'
His saying, the Almighty: 'He causes it to reach whom He wills of His servants. And He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.'
10627 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told me, 'Ata' told us, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: 'The Forgiving'—meaning: Forgiving of sins. 'The Merciful'—meaning: Merciful to the believers.
His saying, the Almighty: 'Say: O people, the truth has come to you from your Lord.'
10628 - My father told us, al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' told us, 'Abd Allah ibn Idris told us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq told us regarding: 'The truth has come to you from your Lord'—he said: 'What has come to you of good.'
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَلَكِنْ أَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ
١٠٦٢٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ قَالَ يَتَوَفَّى الْأَنْفُسَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى وَأَنْ أَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدَّيْنِ حَنِيفًا
قَدْ تَقَدَّمَ تَفْسِيرُهُ غَيْرُ مَرَّةٍ.
١٠٦٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَوْلُهُ: حَنِيفًا قَالَ: الْحَنَفِيَّةُ الْخِتَانُ، وَتُحَرِّمُ الأُمَّهَاتُ وَالْبَنَاتُ وَالْعَمَّاتُ وَالْخَالاتُ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَالْمَنَاسِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ: وَلا تَدْعُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُكَ ولا يضرك
١٠٦٢٤ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ: مَا لا يَنْفَعُنَا وَلا يَضُرُّنَا قَالَ: الأَوْثَانُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَإِنْ فَعَلْتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذًا مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
١٠٦٢٥ - قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ، ثنا بُكَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنْ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ، قَوْلُهُ: الظَّالِمِينَ يَعْنِي: الْمُشْرِكِينَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَإِنْ يَمْسَسْكَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍ فَلا كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلا هو
١٠٦٢٦ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْهَرَوِيُّ، ثنا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَوْلُهُ: وَإِنْ يَمْسَسْكَ اللَّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلا كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلا هُوَ وَإِنْ يُرِدْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَلا رَادَّ لِفَضْلِهِ: هُوَ الْحَقُّ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يُصِيبُ بِهِ مِنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
١٠٦٢٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، ثنا عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، قَوْلُهُ: الغفور يعني غفور الذنوب الرحيم يَعْنِي رَحِيمًا بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَاءَكُمُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ
١٠٦٢٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إسحاق الحق من ربكم قَالَ: مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ.
