Translation · EN

His saying, the Almighty: 'So whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever strays only strays against it. And I am not a manager over you.'

10629 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: 'A manager over you'—he said: 'As for the manager (wakil), it is the protector (hafiz).'

His saying, the Almighty: 'And follow what is revealed to you, and be patient until Allah judges. And He is the best of judges.'

10630 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj told us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam regarding the saying of Allah: 'And He is the best of judges'—he said: 'This is abrogated, until Allah judges with their jihad, and He commanded him to be stern with them.'
