His saying, the Almighty: "A good enjoyment"

10641 - My father told us, Hisham ibn Khalid told us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq told us, Sa'id told us, from Qatadah regarding "He will let you enjoy a good enjoyment": "You are in that enjoyment, so seize it by obeying Allah and knowing His right, for Allah is a Granter of blessings who loves those who are grateful, and the people of gratitude receive more from Allah, and that is His decree which He has decreed."

His saying, the Almighty: "To a specified term"

10642 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Yahya ibn Adam told us, Isra'il told us, from 'Ata' ibn al-Sa'ib, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "A specified term," he said: "Until the Day of Resurrection." It is also reported from 'Ikrimah, 'Atiyyah, 'Ata' al-Khurasani, al-Suddi, and al-Rabi' ibn Anas similarly.

10643 - My father told us, Abu Salih told us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih told me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "A specified term," he said: "The term of the Hour."

10644 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi informed us in what he wrote to me, my father told me, my paternal uncle told us, from his father, from 'Atiyyah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "A specified term," he said: "It is the term of a human's death."

10645 - Muhammad ibn Yahya told us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid told us, Yazid ibn Zuray' told us, Sa'id told us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "A term, a limit," he says: "The term of your life is until you die, and the term of your death is until you are resurrected; so you are between two terms from Allah." It is also reported from Khalid ibn Mihran that he said: "The term of resurrection." And from al-Hasan: "What is between being created and dying."

10646 - Yunus ibn Habib told us, Abu Dawud told us, from Qays, from Abu Husayn, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding the saying of Allah: "A specified term," he said: "None knows it except Allah."

His saying, the Almighty: "And gives every possessor of virtue his virtue"

10647 - My father told us, Hisham ibn Khalid told us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq told us, Ibn Abi 'Arubah told us, from Qatadah regarding "And gives every possessor of virtue his virtue," meaning: "In the Hereafter."

And the Second Aspect

10648 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, from Warqa', from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding "And gives every possessor of virtue his virtue": "Whatever he has anticipated [in reward] of wealth, or work done by his hand, or his leg, or his speech, and whatever he has done voluntarily of all his affairs."
