10746 - My father told us, Hisham ibn Khalid told us, Shu‘ayb ibn Ishaq told us, Ibn Abi ‘Arubah told us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornments, We will fully repay them for their deeds therein, and they therein will not be deprived," he says: Whoever makes the world his concern, his pursuit, his intention, and his need, Allah compensates him for his good deeds in the world, then he proceeds to the Hereafter, and he has no good deed there. As for the believer, he is compensated for his good deeds in the world, and he is rewarded for them in the Hereafter; and they therein will not be deprived.

His saying, the Exalted: "And they therein will not be deprived."

10747 - My father told us, Hisham told us, by way of it, from Qatadah regarding "and they therein will not be deprived," he says: They are not wronged.

10748 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah and ‘Uthman told us, they both said: Mu‘awiyah ibn Hisham told us, Sufyan told us, from ‘Isa ibn Maymun, from Mujahid, regarding "and they therein will not be deprived," he said: They are not diminished.

His saying, the Exalted: "Those are the ones for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but the Fire."

10749 - Ahmad ibn al-Azhar informed me in what he wrote to me, Wahb ibn Jarir told us, my father told us, from ‘Ali ibn al-Hakam, from al-Dahhak, regarding His saying: "Those are the ones for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but the Fire," he says: Whatever good deed they performed during their polytheism, Allah hastens its reward for them in the world, and they have nothing in the Hereafter but the Fire.

His saying, the Exalted: "And [it has become] worthless."

10750 - Musa ibn Abi Musa al-Khatmi told us, Harun ibn Hatim told us, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad told us, from Asbat, from al-Saddi, from Abu Malik, regarding "and [it has become] worthless," he means: It has become null.

His saying, the Exalted: "what they produced therein."

10751 - ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman ibn al-Ash‘ath told us, al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali told us, ‘Amir ibn al-Furat told us, Asbat told us, from al-Saddi, regarding "And [it has become] worthless what they produced therein," he said: And the good that they did has become worthless.
