10770 - Abu Zur‘ah told us, Safwan told us, al-Walid told us, Khulayd and Sa‘id told us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And whoever disbelieves in it among the factions," he said: "They are the Jews and the Christians."

His saying, the Exalted: "So do not be in doubt about it. It is the truth from your Lord"

10771 - My father told us, al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi‘ told us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Idris told us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq told us, [regarding] "the truth from your Lord," he said: "Whatever has come to you of guidance."

His saying, the Exalted: "And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah"

10772 - Abu ‘Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani told us, Hafs ibn ‘Umar al-‘Adani told us, al-Hakam ibn Aban told us, from ‘an ‘Ikrimah told us, who said: Al-Nadr, who was from the Banu ‘Abd al-Dar, said: "When the Day of Resurrection comes, al-Lat and al-‘Uzza will intercede for me." Then Allah, the Exalted, revealed: "And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah."

10773 - And by the chain of ‘Ali ibn al-Mubarak, from Ibn Jurayj, [regarding] "And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah," he said: "They are the disbelievers and the hypocrites."

His saying, the Exalted: "Those will be presented before their Lord"

10774 - Al-Hasan ibn ‘Arafah told us, Khalid ibn al-Harith told us, from Sa‘id ibn Abi ‘Arubah, from Qatadah, from Safwan ibn Muhriz, who said: It was said to ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Umar: "How did you hear the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, mention in the private counsel (najwa)?" He replied: "I heard him saying: 'The believer will draw near to his Lord, the Almighty and Majestic, on the Day of Resurrection, until He places His protection (kanafihi) over him, then He will make him acknowledge his sins, [asking]: Do you recognize [this]? He will say: Yes, my Lord, I recognize it. Until, when he has reached as much as He willed he should reach, He, Blessed and Exalted be He, will say to him: I concealed it for you in the world, and I forgive you for it today.' He said: Then he will be given his record of deeds, or he said: his book, in his right hand. As for the disbeliever and the hypocrite, it will be announced before the witnesses: These are the ones who lied about their Lord. Unquestionably, the curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers.'"

And by the chain of ‘Ali ibn al-Mubarak, from Ibn Jurayj, regarding His saying, the Almighty and Majestic: "Those will be presented before their Lord," [meaning:] "He will ask them about their deeds."

His saying, the Exalted: "And the witnesses will say"
