10972 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa told us, Salamah told us, from Ibn Ishaq, regarding His saying: "So plot against me all together," meaning: Plot against me, you and those with you, all together.
His saying, the Exalted: "There is no moving creature but He has grasp of its forelock."
10973 - My father told us, Abu Safwan ibn Salih al-Mu'adhdhin told us, al-Walid ibn Muslim told us, from Safwan ibn 'Amr, from Yafa' ibn 'Abd al-Kala'i, that he said regarding His saying: "There is no moving creature but He has grasp of its forelock. Indeed, my Lord is on a straight path": He said: He takes the forelocks of His servants, so He becomes lenient toward the believer until He is more lenient to them than a father is to his child, and it is said to the disbeliever: "What has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous?"

10974 - My father told us, Abu Salih told us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih told me, from 'Ali ibn Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas: "But if they turn away," meaning: The disbelievers.
His saying, the Exalted: "And my Lord will cause others to succeed you..." the verse.
10975 - Yahya ibn 'Adhak al-Qazwini told us, Sa'id ibn Ayyub told us, Bashir ibn Abi 'Amr al-Khawlani told me, from al-Walid ibn Qays, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The succession will be after sixty years.
His saying, the Exalted: "And when Our command came, We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by mercy from Us."
Its interpretation has preceded in Surat al-A'raf, and Allah knows best.
His saying, the Exalted: "And We saved them from a harsh punishment."
10976 - Musa ibn Abi Musa al-Ansari told us, Harun ibn Hatim told us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad told us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik, regarding His saying: "harsh," meaning: severe.
His saying, the Exalted: "And they followed the command of every obstinate tyrant."
10977 - My father told us, Hisham ibn Khalid told us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq told us, Sa'id ibn Abi 'Arubah told us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "And they followed the command of every obstinate tyrant," and the "obstinate" (al-'anid) is the polytheist.
١٠٩٧٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَوْلُهُ: فَكِيدُونِي جَمِيعًا أَيْ فَكِيدُونِي أَنْتُمْ وَمَنْ مَعَكُمْ جَمِيعًا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ إِلا هُوَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا
١٠٩٧٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَفْوَانَ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْمُؤَذِّنُ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عن يفع بْنِ عَبْدِ الْكَلَاعِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: مَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ إِلا هُوَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا إِنَّ رَبِّي عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ قَالَ: فَيَأْخُذُ بِنَوَاصِي عِبَادِهِ فَيَلِينُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ حَتَّى يَكُونَ لَهُمْ أَلْيَنَ مِنَ الْوَالِدِ بِوَلَدِهِ، وَيُقَالُ لِلْكَافِرِ: مَا غرك بربك الكريم.

قَدْ تَقَدَّمَ تَفْسِيرُ الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ غَيْرُ مَرَّةٍ.

١٠٩٧٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا يَعْنِي الْكُفَّارَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَيَسْتَخْلِفُ رَبِّي الْآيَةَ
١٠٩٧٥ - حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدَكٍ الْقَزْوِينِيِّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ، بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي بَشِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الْخَوْلانِيُّ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنِ أبِي سَعِيدٍ، الْخُدْرِيُّ قَالَ: الْخُلْفُ مِنْ بَعْدِ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا نَجَّيْنَا هُودًا وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ بِرَحْمَةٍ مِنَّا
قَدْ تَقَدَّمَ تَفْسِيرُهُ فِي سُورَةِ الْأَعْرَافِ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَنَجَّيْنَاهُمْ مِنْ عَذَابٍ غَلِيظٍ
١٠٩٧٦ - حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ أَسْبَاطٍ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ قَوْلُهُ: غَلِيظاً يَعْنِي: شَدِيدًا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاتَّبَعُوا أَمْرَ كُلِّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ
