10098 - Al-Mundhir ibn Shadhan narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Abu al-Ashhab narrated to us from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "And the earth, for all its vastness, was constricted for you," he said: Thus the sin of the believer comes upon him.
His saying, Exalted is He: "then you turned back, fleeing."
10099 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to us from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "then you turned back, fleeing," meaning: defeated, away from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. The defeat of the Muslims reached Mecca, and Allah did not decree the Fire for them, and this was after the battle of Uhud.
His saying, Exalted is He: "Then Allah sent down His tranquility upon His Messenger."
10000 - My father narrated to us, Yahya ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us from Ya'qub from Ja'far from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, he said: On the day of Hunayn, Allah the Exalted supported His Messenger with five thousand angels, marked. On that day, Allah named the Ansar as believers, so Allah sent down His tranquility upon His Messenger and upon the believers.
His saying, Exalted is He: "and sent down hosts which you did not see."

10002 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Dawud al-Hafari narrated to us from Ya'qub al-Qummi from Ja'far from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding "and punished those who disbelieved," he said: With defeat.
10003 - My father narrated to us, Yahya al-Himmani narrated to us, Ya'qub narrated to us from Ja'far from Ibn Abza, regarding His saying: "and punished those who disbelieved," he said: With defeat and killing.
10003 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman al-Awdi informed us, in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi, regarding "and punished those who disbelieved," he said: He killed them with the sword.
His saying, Exalted is He: "And that is the recompense of the disbelievers."
10004 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us, in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj reported to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd saying regarding the saying of Allah: "and punished those who disbelieved. And that is the recompense of the disbelievers," he said: Those of them who remained.
