11122 - Usayd ibn 'Asim told us, 'Abd al-Samad ibn 'Abd al-Warith told me, my father told me, Hisham ibn Khalid told us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq told us, Ibn Abi 'Arubah told us, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "Indeed, I see you in prosperity, but indeed, I fear for you"—he saw them [clothed] in a veneer of the veneer of this world and its adornment.

11123 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj told us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam regarding the saying of Allah: "Indeed, I see you in prosperity," he said: In your worldly life, just as Allah said: "If he leaves wealth (khayran)," so Allah named it "khayran" (prosperity/wealth), except that people call wealth "khayran."

His saying, the Exalted: "And O my people, give full measure and weight with justice."

11124 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab ibn al-Harith told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah told us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "with justice," he means: with fairness.

His saying, the Exalted: "And do not deprive people of their things."

11125 - Through this chain from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "And do not deprive people of their things," he said: Do not wrong people regarding their things. It was narrated from Qatadah and al-Suddi similar to that.

11126 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj told us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam regarding his saying: "And do not deprive people of their things," he said: Do not diminish them by specifying something for him, then giving him other than that.

His saying, the Exalted: "And do not commit abuse on the earth."

11127 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah told us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding his saying: "And do not commit abuse on the earth," he says: Do not spread mischief on the earth.

11128 - Muhammad ibn Yahya told us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid al-Narsi told us, Yazid ibn Zuray' told us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah: "And do not commit abuse on the earth as corrupters," he said: Do not go about on the earth as corrupters.
