His saying, the Exalted: "as corrupters."
11129 - Musa ibn Abi Musa al-Khatmi told us, Harun ibn Hatim told us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Hammad told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, from Abu Malik: "And do not commit abuse on the earth as corrupters," he said: Do not walk upon it [engaged in] sins.
His saying: "What remains of Allah is better for you, if you are believers."
11130 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding "What remains of Allah is better for you," he said: Obedience to Allah.
11131 - My father told us, Hisham ibn Khalid told us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq told us, Ibn Abi 'Arubah told us, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "What remains of Allah is better for you," he says: Your portion from your Lord is better for you.
11132 - My father told us, Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far told us, from his father, from al-Rabi': "What remains of Allah is better for you," he said: The command of Allah is better for you.
11133 - Ahmad ibn 'Isam al-Ansari told us, Mu'ammal ibn Rabi'ah told us, Hammad ibn Salamah told us, Humayd told us, from al-Hasan regarding his saying: "What remains of Allah is better for you," he said: The provision of Allah is better for you than your depriving people.
11134 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj told us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying regarding the saying of Allah: "What remains of Allah is better for you, if you are believers," he said: Destruction is in the punishment, and the remainder is in mercy.
His saying, the Exalted: "They said, 'O Shu'ayb, does your prayer command you.'"
11135 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' told us, 'Abd al-Razzaq told us, al-Thawri told us, from al-A'mash: "Does your prayer command you": [Meaning] your recitation.
His saying, the Exalted: "That we should leave what our fathers worship."
11136 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umar al-'Adani told us, Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah told us, from a man, from al-Hasan regarding his saying: "O Shu'ayb, does your prayer command you that we should leave what our fathers worship?" He says: Yes, by Allah, his prayers indeed command them to leave what their fathers used to worship.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: مُفْسِدِينَ
١١١٢٩ - حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَبِي مُوسَى الْخَطْمِيُّ، ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَمَّادٍ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ وَلا تَعْثَوْا فِي الأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ قَالَ لا تَمْشُوا بِالْمَعَاصِي.
قوله: بَقِيَّتُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ
١١١٣٠ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ بقيت اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ قَالَ: طَاعَةُ اللَّهِ.
١١١٣١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَوْلُهُ: بَقِيَّتُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لكم يَقُولُ: حَظُّكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ.
١١١٣٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عن الربيع بقيت اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ قَالَ وَصِيَّةُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ.
١١١٣٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِصَامٍ الأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثنا مُؤَمَّلٌ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثنا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ فِي قَوْلِهِ: بَقِيَّتُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ قَالَ: رِزْقُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ مِنْ بَخْسِكُمُ النَّاسَ.
١١١٣٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: بَقِيَّتُ اللَّهِ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كنتم مؤمنين قَالَ الْهَلاكُ فِي الْعَذَابِ وَالْبَقِيَّةُ فِي الرَّحْمَةِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: قَالُوا يَا شُعَيْبُ أَصَلاتُكَ تَأْمُرُكَ
١١١٣٥ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ثنا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ أَصَلاتُكَ تَأْمُرُكَ: أَقِرَاءَتُكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَنْ نَتْرُكَ مَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا
