- It was mentioned from Mubarak ibn Fadalah, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "As long as the heavens and the earth endure," he said: A heaven other than this one and an earth other than this one will be substituted, so it is as long as that heaven and that earth endure.
- Zakariyya ibn Adhad ibn Bakr al-Naysaburi told us, Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Naysaburi told me, 'Abd al-Samad ibn Mas'ud ibn 'Abd Allah told me, Bishr ibn 'Abd Allah told me, from Sufyan ibn Husayn, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "As for those who were wretched, they will be in the Fire. For them therein is sighing and wailing. Abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure," he said: When the Day of Resurrection comes, Allah will take the seven heavens and the seven earths and cleanse them of every impurity and filth, then He will render them a white land, silver, glittering light. He will make them a land for Paradise. The heavens and the earths today are in Paradise just as Paradise is in the world, so Allah will place them upon the expanse of Paradise and will place Paradise upon them. Today it is on a saffron-colored land to the right of the Throne. So it is as long as it is a land for Paradise, and the people of Shirk (polytheism) are abiding in Hell as long as the land of Paradise endures.
- 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman told us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali ibn 'Amir ibn al-Furat told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "Abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except what your Lord wills," he said: As for the heaven and the earth, they are the heaven of Paradise and its earth.
His saying, the Exalted: "Except what your Lord wills."
- Abu Zur'ah told us, Minjab ibn al-Harith told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah told us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "Except what your Lord wills," he means: Those who were in the Fire when He granted permission for intercession for them, so He will bring them out of the Fire and cause them to enter Paradise.
- Zakariyya ibn Dawud ibn Bakr al-Naysaburi told us, Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Naysaburi told me, 'Abd al-Samad ibn Mas'ud ibn 'Abd Allah told me, Mubashshir ibn 'Abd Allah told me, from Sufyan ibn al-Hasan, from al-Hasan, he said: As for both exceptions, they are regarding the people of Tawhid (monotheism) who are punished in the Barani, which is a valley in which the monotheists are punished. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, will intercede for them, then they will be returned to Paradise. And he says: "Those who were wretched, abiding therein," except for the monotheists who are brought out of the Barani.
