11276 - Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Wasiti told us, Muhammad ibn Bashir al-Wa'iz told us, Sahl ibn Humayd told us, from Hawshab, from al-Hasan regarding [His saying]: "That is a reminder for those who remember," he said: They are those who remember Allah in times of ease and adversity, hardship and comfort, well-being and affliction.
His saying, the Exalted: "And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good."
11277 - My father told us, Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki told us, 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far told us, from his father, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, he said: It is written in the first Book that the envious person does not harm anyone but himself with his envy; he does not harm the one he envies, and indeed the envious person is consumed by his envy. And indeed, if the envied person is patient, his endurance will save him, because Allah says: "And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good."
11278 - From al-Dahhak: "And if your Lord had willed, He could have made mankind one community"—[meaning] followers of one religion, either people of misguidance or people of guidance.
11279 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr told us, 'Abd Allah ibn Lahi'ah told me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar told me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, regarding the saying of Allah "one community": He means the religion of Islam alone.
His saying, the Exalted: "But they will not cease to differ."
[The First Aspect]
11280 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn 'Imran told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah told us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "But they will not cease to differ," he said: The people of truth and the people of falsehood.
11281 - My father told us, 'Abd Allah ibn Salih ibn Muslim told us, Abu al-Ahwas told us, from Simak, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "But they will not cease to differ, except whom your Lord has given mercy," he said: They will not cease to differ in their whims.
11282 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj told us, Ibn 'Ulayyah told us, from Mansur ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, he said: I asked al-Hasan about "But they will not cease to differ." He said: People differ upon various religions. It was narrated from Mujahid similarly.
١١٢٧٦ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ الْوَاعِظُ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ذَلِكَ ذِكْرَى لِلذَّاكِرِينَ قَالَ هُمُ الَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ فِي السَّرَّاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَالشِّدَّةِ وَالرَّخَاءِ وَالْعَافِيَةِ وَالْبَلاءِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَاصْبِرْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ
١١٢٧٧ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّشْتَكِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: مَكْتُوبٌ فِي الْكِتَابِ الْأَوَّلِ أَنَّ الْحَاسِدَ لَا يَضُرُّ بِحَسَدِهِ إِلا نَفْسَهُ لَيْسَ ضَارًّا مِنْ حسد وإن الحاسد ينقضه حَسَدُهُ وَإِنَّ الْمَحْسُودَ إِذَا صَبَرَ أَنْجَاهُ تَصَبُّرُهُ لأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ: وَاصْبِرْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُضِيعُ أَجْرَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ.
١١٢٧٨ - عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، وَلَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ النَّاسَ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً أَهْلَ دِينٍ وَاحِدٍ أَهْلَ ضَلالَةٍ أَوْ أَهْلَ هُدًى.
١١٢٧٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً يَعْنِي مِلَّةَ الإِسْلامِ وَحْدَهَا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَلا يَزَالُونَ مختلفين

١١٢٨٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ، ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَلا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ قَالَ أَهْلُ الْحَقِّ وَأَهْلُ الْبَاطِلِ.
١١٢٨١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا أَبُو الأَخْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلُهُ: وَلا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ إِلا مَنْ رَحِمَ رَبُّكَ قَالَ: لَا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ فِي الْهَوَى.
١١٢٨٢ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِلْحَسَنِ وَلا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ قَالَ: النَّاسُ مُخْتَلِفُونَ عَلَى أَدْيَانٍ شَتَّى وَرُوِيَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ نَحْوُ ذَلِكَ.
