His saying, the Exalted: "And let their souls expire while they are disbelievers."
10328 - ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman ibn al-Ash‘ath narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali ibn Mihran reported to us, ‘Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding "And let their souls expire while they are disbelievers," he said: "Let their souls expire in the worldly life while they are disbelievers," saying: This is a verse containing prolepsis (taqdim wa ta'khir).
10329 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Aslam mentioned it, Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Yazid reported to us, Juwaybir reported to us, from al-Dahhak regarding His saying: "And let their souls expire," he said: "In the world while they are disbelievers." He said: "Let their souls expire" means they exit.
His saying, the Exalted: "And they swear by Allah that they are among you."
10330 - Through the same chain from al-Dahhak regarding His saying: "And they swear by Allah that they are among you, but they are not among you; but they are a people who are fearful [of you]," he said: They only swear by Allah out of dissimulation (taqiyah).
His saying, the Exalted: "If they could find a refuge."
10331 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn ‘Umarah reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying: "If they could find a refuge," he said: The refuge is the shelter in the mountain, and it is the fortress (ma‘qil).
10332 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-‘Abbas ibn al-Walid reported to us, Yazid narrated to us, from Sa‘id, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "If they could find a refuge," he says: If they could find a refuge: [meaning] fortresses.
His saying, the Exalted: "Or caves."
10333 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn ‘Umarah reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying: "Or caves," he said: The tunnels (asrab) in the earth that are hidden.
10334 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu‘awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us, from ‘Ali ibn Talhah, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding "Or caves," he said: The caves are the caverns (ghiran) in the mountains.
10335 - It was mentioned from Damrah, from Ibn Shawdhab regarding His saying: "If they could find a refuge or caves," he said: You would flee upon your faces across the earth.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَتَزْهَقَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ.
١٠٣٢٨ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الأَشْعَثَ أَنْبَأَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ وَتَزْهَقَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ قَالَ: تَزْهَقَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ قَالَ: هَذِهِ آيَةٌ فِيهَا تَقْدِيمٌ وَتَأْخِيرٌ.
١٠٣٢٩ - ذَكَرَهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي أَسْلَمَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أنبا محمد ابن يَزِيدَ أَنْبَأَ جُوَيْبِرٌ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ قَوْلُهُ: وَتَزْهَقَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ قَالَ: فِي الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ كَافِرُونَ قَالَ: تَزْهَقَ أَنْفُسُهُمْ: تَخْرُجُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ لَمِنْكُمْ.
١٠٣٣٠ - وَبِهِ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ فِي قَوْلِهِ: وَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ لَمِنْكُمْ وَمَا هُمْ مِنْكُمْ وَلَكِنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ يَفْرَقُونَ قَالَ: إِنَّمَا يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ تُقْيَةً.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: لو يجدون ملجأ.
١٠٣٣١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: لو يجدون ملجأ قَالَ: الْمَلْجَأُ: الْحِرْزُ فِي الْجَبَلِ، وَهُوَ الْمَعْقِلُ.
١٠٣٣٢ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا يَزِيدُ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: لو يجدون ملجأ يقول لو يجدون ملجأ: حصونا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَوْ مَغَارَاتٍ
١٠٣٣٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ثنا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: أو مَغَارَاتٍ قَالَ: الْأَسْرَابُ فِي الْأَرْضِ الْمَخْفِيَّةُ.
١٠٣٣٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بين صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عباس أو مَغَارَاتٍ قَالَ: وَالْمَغَارَاتُ: الْغِيرَانُ فِي الْجِبَالِ.
١٠٣٣٥ - ذُكِرَ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ شَوْذَبٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: لَوْ يَجِدُونَ مَلْجَأً أَوْ مَغَارَاتٍ قَالَ: تَذْهَبُونَ عَلَى وُجُوهِكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ.
