Tafsir Ibn Abi Hatim — His saying (the Almighty): 'and a mercy for those among you who believe'.

Translation · EN

His saying, the Almighty: "And a mercy for those who believe among you."

10000 - (*) And through him, from al-Dahhak: He means "and a mercy for those who believe among you," he said: A mercy for you.

His saying, the Almighty: "And those who annoy the Messenger of Allah, for them is a painful punishment."

10040 - Ahmad ibn ‘Amr ibn Abi ‘Asim narrated to us, my father ‘Amr narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Shabib ibn Bishr informed us, ‘Ikrimah informed us, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding the saying of Allah: "A painful punishment," he said: Alim (painful) is: everything that causes pain.

His saying, the Almighty: "They swear by Allah to you to please you; and Allah and His Messenger are more deserving that they should please Him, if they are believers."

10041 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-‘Abbas al-Narsi informed us, Yazid ibn Zuray‘ narrated to us, from Sa‘id, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "They swear by Allah to you to please you; and Allah and His Messenger are more deserving that they should please Him, if they are believers." It was mentioned to us that a man from the hypocrites said: "By Allah, these people are the best of us and our nobles. And if Muhammad is right, they are worse than donkeys." He said: A man from the Muslims heard this and said: "By Allah, what you say is true, and you are worse than a donkey." The man then hurried to the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and informed him. He (the Prophet) sent for the man and called him, and said: "What compelled you to say what you said?!" He began to invoke curses and swear by Allah that he did not say that. The Muslim man began to say: "O Allah, verify the truthful one and expose the liar." So Allah, the Almighty, revealed regarding that: "They swear by Allah to you to please you; and Allah and His Messenger are more deserving that they should please Him, if they are believers."

10042 - And it was narrated from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "They swear by Allah to you to please you," he said: This was when they swore.

His saying, the Almighty: "Do they not know that whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger..."

10043 - ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali narrated to us, ‘Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "Do they not know that whoever opposes Allah and His Messenger, then for him is the fire of Hell, to abide therein forever. That is the great disgrace." He says: Whoever sets himself in opposition to Allah and His Messenger."

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ.

١٠٠٠٠ - (*) وبهِ عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ: يَعْنِي وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ قَالَ: رَحْمَةٌ لَكُمْ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ

١٠٠٤٠ - حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ ثنا أَبِي عَمْرٌو ثنا أَبِي، أَنْبَأَ شَبِيبُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، أَنْبَأَ عِكْرِمَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ قَالَ: أَلِيمُ: كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُوجِعٌ.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ لِيُرْضُوكُمْ وَاللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَقُّ أن يرضوه إن كانوا مؤمنين.

١٠٠٤١ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ النَّرْسِيُّ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ لِيُرْضُوكُمْ وَاللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُرْضُوهُ إِنْ كَانُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ. ذُكِرَ لَنَا أَنَّ رَجُلا مِنَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ قَالَ: وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ هَؤُلاءِ لَخِيَارُنَا، وَأَشْرَافُنَا وَلَئِنْ كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ حَقًّا، لَهُمْ شَرٌّ مِنَ الْحَمِيرِ، قَالَ: فَسَمِعَهَا رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَقَالَ: وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ مَا يَقُولُ لَحِقٌ، وَلأَنْتَ شَرٌّ مِنَ الْحِمَارِ، فَسَعَى بِهَا الرَّجُلُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ- صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ- فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ فَدَعَاهُ، فَقَالَ: مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى الَّذِي قُلْتَ؟! فَجَعَلَ يَلْتَعِنُ وَيَحْلِفُ بِاللَّهِ مَا قَالَ ذَلِكَ، وَجَعَلَ الرَّجُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ صَدِّقِ الصَّادِقَ وَكَذِّبِ الْكَاذِبَ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِي ذَلِكَ: يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ لِيُرْضُوكُمْ وَاللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُرْضُوهُ إِنْ كَانُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ.

١٠٠٤٢ - وَرُوِيَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ فِي قَوْلِهِ: يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ لِيُرْضُوكُمْ قَالَ: هَذَا حِينَ حَلَفُوا.

قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّهُ مَنْ يُحَادِدِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ.

١٠٠٤٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قَوْلُهُ: أَلَمْ يَعْلَمُوا أَنَّهُ مَنْ يُحَادِدِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَأَنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جهنم خالدا فيها ذلك الخزي العظيم يقول: ن يُشَاقِقِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ.
