they reached Egypt, Yusuf spoke to the King, and he [Yusuf] and the King went out to receive them. When he met them, he said: 'Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, in security.' ... Then, when they entered upon Yusuf, he took his parents and his brothers to himself, and they were his father and his maternal aunt.
11987 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Abu al-Jamahir narrated to us, Sa‘id ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Qatada, regarding His saying: 'He took his parents to himself,' he said: His father and his mother, he embraced them and said: 'Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, in security.'
11988 - Muhammad ibn al-‘Abbas narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Salama narrated to us, Salama ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, Abu Ja‘far informed us, from al-Rabi‘ ibn Anas, who said: Ya‘qub went out to Yusuf in Egypt with seventy-two of his children and grandchildren.
