His saying, the Almighty: 'Creator of the heavens and the earth.'
12009 - Muhammad ibn ‘Ammar ibn al-Harith narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki narrated to us, ‘Amr ibn Abi Qays narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Muhajir, from Mujahid, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding 'Creator of the heavens and the earth,' he said: Originator (badi‘) of the heavens and the earth.
12010 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi‘ narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Razzaq informed us, Ma‘mar informed us, from Qatada, regarding His saying: 'Creator of the heavens and the earth,' he said: Creator of the heavens and the earth.
His saying, the Almighty: 'Cause me to die as a Muslim.'
12011 - ‘Ali ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, Abu al-Jamahir narrated to us, Sa‘id ibn Bashir narrated to us, Qatada reported from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: No prophet asked for death other than Yusuf, meaning in his saying: 'Cause me to die as a Muslim.'
12012 - ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn ‘Ali narrated to us, ‘Amir ibn al-Furat narrated to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi, regarding 'Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous,' Ibn ‘Abbas said: This is the first prophet to have asked Allah for death.
12013 - Muhammad ibn al-‘Abbas narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Salama narrated to us, Salama narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, who said: Yusuf was deterred, and he remembered that whatever of the world is within it will perish and pass away, so he said: 'My Lord, You have given me [something] of sovereignty and taught me of the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and the earth, You are my protector in the world and the Hereafter. Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous.'
12014 - My father narrated to us, ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn Munib narrated to us, Abu Mu‘adh al-Fadl ibn Khalid narrated to us, from ‘Ubayd ibn Sulayman, from al-Dahhak, regarding 'Cause me to die as a Muslim,' he said: Upon Your obedience.
His saying, the Almighty: 'And join me with the righteous.'
12015 - Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani narrated to us, Hafs informed us, al-Hakam ibn Aban narrated to us, from ‘Ikrimah, regarding 'And join me with the righteous,' he said: Meaning the people of Paradise.
12016 - My father narrated to us, Hisham ibn Khalid narrated to us, Shu‘ayb ibn Ishaq narrated to us, Sa‘id ibn Abi ‘Aruba narrated to us, from Qatada, regarding His saying: 'Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous,' when Allah gathered his [Yusuf’s] dispersed family and comforted his eyes, and he was on that day immersed in the luxury of the world and its kingdom and its splendor, he longed for the righteous ones before him. And you, [O people], should long for what the righteous ones before you longed for; may Allah bless you.
قوله تعالى: فاطر السماوات وَالأَرْضِ.
١٢٠٠٩ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمَّارِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّشْتَكِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عن ابن عباس: فاطر السماوات وَالأَرْضِ قَالَ: بَدِيعُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ.
١٢٠١٠ - حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ قَالَ: خَالِقُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا.
١٢٠١١ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ حَدَّثَ قَتَادَةُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: مَا سَأَلَ نَبِيُّ الْوَفَاةَ غَيْرُ يُوسُفَ، يَعْنِي فِي قَوْلِهِ: تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا.
١٢٠١٢ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ثنا عَامِرُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ، عَنْ أساط، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ: تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: هَذَا أَوَّلُ نَبِيٍّ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الْمَوْتَ.
١٢٠١٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا سَلَمَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: هم ارْعَوَى يُوسُفُ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّ مَا فِيهِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا بَائِدٌ وَذَاهِبٌ فَقَالَ: رَبِّ قَدْ آتَيْتَنِي مِنَ الْمُلْكِ وَعَلَّمْتَنِي مِنْ تَأْوِيلِ الأَحَادِيثِ فَاطِرَ السماوات وَالأَرْضِ أَنْتَ وَلِيِّي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ
١٢٠١٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُنِيبٍ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاذٍ: الْفَضْلُ ابن خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ: تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا قَالَ: عَلَى طَاعَتِكَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ.
١٢٠١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ، أنا حَفْصُ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ: وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ قَالَ: يَعْنِي أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةَ.
١٢٠١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبي ثنا هِشَامِ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ: تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بالصالحين لما جمع الله شمله وأقر بعينه وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ مَغْمُوسٌ فِي بَيْتِ نَعِيمٍ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا وَمُلْكِهَا وَغَضَارَتِهَا اشْتَاقَ إِلَى الصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَهُ وَأَنْتُمْ فَاشْتَاقُوا إِلَى مَا اشْتَاقَ إِلَيْهِ الصَّالِحُونَ قَبْلَكُمْ بَارِكَ اللَّهُ فِيكُمْ.
